igf-1 increases cancer risk?

I think it makes Cancer cells grow faster. But first you have to have cancer cells.

everything increases cancer risk, lol, hgh, all gear ect... and thats not to mention all the legal shit that does to,lol,

just being alive/living increases your risk of cancer (well everything actually)

as you live, your body creates free radicals which essentially breaks down healthy tissue (whatever that tissue may be). This gets worse as age increases. This is the reason behind old people looking old....saggy skin, reduction in height, etc.

since statistically most of us are gonna die of cancer - I think I would prefer the "good ol' days" of just dying from heart disease/attack.

Cancer Surpasses Heart Disease as Number One Cause of Death in Americans Under Age 85

The American Cancer Society's 2005 statistical report shows that, for the first time, cancer kills more Americans under age 85 than does heart disease. In 2002, the most recent year for which information is available, 476,009 people under age 85 died of cancer compared with 450,637 who died of heart disease.

The under-85 age group accounts for just over 98% of the US population, which means that, right now, only the very oldest Americans die more of heart disease rather than cancer. An estimated 1,372,910 new cancer cases and 570,260 cancer deaths are estimated for 2005.

Although this may not appear to be encouraging news at first, there is good news. Many cancers are preventable—about a third are due to the use of tobacco products and another third are related to obesity, lack of exercise, and poor diet. And cancer deaths are declining--about 1% each year since 1999--- due to increased prevention efforts, earlier detection, and improved therapies.

There are steps everyone can take to reduce their risk of developing cancer: don't smoke or use any tobacco products, eat a proper diet, exercise, maintain a height-appropriate weight, use protection against the sun's harmful rays, get regular check-ups and appropriate specific cancer screenings. Two good places to learn more about what you can do to reduce your own cancer risk are the American Cancer Society at American Cancer Society :: Information and Resources for Cancer: Breast, Colon, Prostate, Lung and Other Forms and the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health at Comprehensive Cancer Information - National Cancer Institute.

fuck thats scary shit! GOD bless you if you dont have health insurance!!!!

Anything that increases your muscle growth, the speed of your metabolism or speeds any cell growth could be said to increase your chances of getting cancer. Cancer cells are mutation and the more cells you're producing/creating the more chances their are that your body will produce a mutation... on the other hand if you're taking your anti-oxidants, exercising regularly you're shedding cells and detoxing your body on a regular basis there's less chance that anything would take hold...

Nice answer mike! Where you been bro and more importantly how ya been bro?

actually IGF-1 and HGH do not increase the risk of cancer, plain and simple. they do however, increase the rate at which neoplasms divide; as such, they can cause faster development of metastatic neoplasms, which is undoubtedly a huge risk.

so basically, be sure you are checked up yearly, as use of peptides definitely does increase the speed at which cancer would develop in a susceptable individual
