Personal training info

Are any of you certified personal trainers?  I am considering taking a course, mostly for personal benefit but I am asked all the time if I am a trainer.  Some people even have money and are willing to pay.  I know ACE and ISSA offer courses.  I want to know if anyone has taken one of these courses or suggest another one I should check into before making a decision.  Thanx, Lola

I'm ACE certified. I just ordered the books and took the exam. People say the test is hard but I did'nt think so. There are about 175 questions to answer.

Presser and I are FINALLY getting our ISSA test together, being that we have had it since last summer. We go for our CPR certification 6/26, which you must have before they send you your certificate. There are 50 shor essay questions, 10 learining experiences(long essay 250 words) and then 5 case studies. we got lucky b/c a "friend" gave us his exam which is exactly the same, so I can't say it was hard. It is the "at home course", it is pricey $550 for each of us.

i am just getting ready for the NASM (www.nasm.org) they are international and highly regarded by most fitness industry professionals.. there are different area that you can specialize in ie.. performance, sport, post rehabilitation... it goes on..
there tests are very very hard.. a min of a 80% total on the test to pass. i took the weekend seminar/ live training.. and let me tell you .. you think you are in shape.. haahaa.... it was quite humbling to many many of us that where there... the organization has changed in the recent years.. they are now beginning a program at some collages around the country .. yes you can get a BA in it... check out there site.. and info... you will see what i mean..
