Matt Hamill Plans to Break Will of Rampage Jackson

At long last, Matt Hamill finally is getting what he has been asking for for a while - and the UFC won't start him slowly.

Hamill (10-2, 9-2 UFC) has been asking for a Top 10 opponent, and UFC president Dana White said after his last win that he'd get one. After a series of changes, Hamill gets arguably the most important fight of his career at UFC 130 against former light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.

And thanks to five straight wins, Hamill, the only deaf fighter in the UFC, is riding high on confidence going into the May 28 fight.

"I know I'm going to break his will - I know I'm going to beat Rampage," "I've been training real hard and my conditioning and my skills and technique, striking and kicking are a lot better."

This is a tough one for me. I met Rampage at the Arnold after party last month and got a pic. He was so humble and quiet and very polite... introduced himself as "Quinton" and wasn't trying to make a scene or anything. I definitely respect him even more after that positive fan experience! :)

For the record, his manager dude wasn't so happy with me and didn't want me bothering him, but he (Rampage) didn't let that influence him. I even excused myself and apologized to the guests at his table for interrupting them and he told me that I didn't need to apologize.

I like Hamill, but I think I'm going team Rampage on this one!

I'll take Rampage too. The problem with Hammill and others like him, is that he is a great wrestler who seems to forget that he is a great wrestler. Why fighters like him and Josh Koscheck decide they want to stand with fighters is beyond my ability to understand. It's like they get the knockout fever and want to do that instead of just relying on their superior wrestling.

post it!!!
I like Rampage alot so im going for him, but Hammill is a great guy too but Rampage is my boy

Let me elaborate on this fight some more, I had to leave earlier.
First he is not truely on a 5 fight win victory he won 2, got the shit beat out of him and won de to an immediate no warning bs DQ, than won 2 more, so more like coming off a 2 fight win streak. Rampage will need to keep this standing as wrestling is is weak spot (even though he was a wrestler) He said he would focus more on it in the future after the Rashad fight, but Hammill is one of the top wrestlers in the division so that is where Rampages problem will lie. As far as striking goes Hammill is not on Rampages level at all.
