damn I hate when I like both fighters like this...

Fresh off their returns to the win column last month, Nate Marquardt and Anthony Johnson have their next fights – each other.

News of the bout, which is expected to serve as the main event for UFC on Versus 4, was first reported Wednesday by Versus.com, and sources close to the planned contest told MMA Fighting that matchup is the promotion's plan.

Johnson (9-3, 6-3 UFC) is coming off a dominant unanimous decision win over Dan Hardy at UFC Fight Night 24 in Seattle, his first fight in 16 months. His last fight before that was a submission loss to Josh Koscheck at UFC 106. A knee injury sidelined him for all of 2010.

Marquardt (31-10-2, 11-4 UFC) won a decision over Dan Miller at UFC 128 in Newark and will look for his first winning streak since 2009. Prior to his win over Miller, Marquardt loss a unanimous decision to Yushin Okami at UFC 122.

The fight will be Marquardt's first fight at welterweight, moving down from middleweight.

In 2007 at UFC 73, Marquardt challenged Anderson Silva for the middleweight title – Silva's first defense of the belt. He lost by first-round TKO. Twice since then, he has been in No. 1 contender fights to get another crack at Silva, and twice he has lost – unanimous decisions to Chael Sonnen and Okami.

The UFC has only made one fight for the card official – a welterweight bout between Matt Brown and Rich Attonito. But the card is also expected to feature heavyweight bouts between Matt Mitrione-Christian Morecraft and Pat Barry-Cheick Kongo; a welterweight bout between Martin Kampmann and John Howard; and the featherweight debuts of Joe Stevenson and Tyson Griffin, both dropping down from lightweight to meet Javier Vazquez and Manny Gamburyan, respectively.

UFC on Versus 4 will take place June 26 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh and will be the UFC's debut in the city. The UFC previously held an event in Pennsylvania with UFC 101 in August 2009 in Philadelphia. The promotion is expected to return to Philly this August for UFC 133.
