I just read where Jon Jones tore a ligament in his hand and is out of the Rashad fight and that Phil Davis will be replacing him...

and that means if phil davis wins, this wresling bout vs rashad, he gets a title shot?? hasnt earned it in my opinion

Yeah, there's def controversy about this. I questioned it also because they're claiming he has a sprained ligament in his hand, but this fight isn't scheduled until August so I don't see why he can't commit to a fight that far out...

But then I googled torn ligaments and it takes about 8-12 weeks to heal, so that makes sense... I guess he'll need time to heal and then return to training before the fight.

It does still make you wonder though after all the back and forth going on with them.

well if its sprained thats much better than a tear, by far and IDK why in 4 months he wouldnt be able to fight again. so yeah def seeming weird to me, but I like Jones and I think he will fair well against anyone

Phil Davis is a pretty good athlete. I seen him wrestle at Penn State
not ready for a title fight but if he can beat rashad i think he deserves

I think he needs atleast 2 more fights before a title shot really, but vs rashad im sure there will be all wrestling going on

He won't get a title fight if he beats Rashad, Dana won't let that happen. I would pretty much guarantee that. As for Jon Jones pulling out, we all know that he wouldn't unless he had to. Rashad has a history of having injuries happen either to him or to his opponent before fights, I guess it's just unlucky, but it saved him a huge embarassment for the time being
