Reuben Duran vs. Francisco Rivera
Neither Duran, nor Rivera did much throughout the first two rounds of the evening’s first contest, but one of them certainly did in the final frame of the contest. Duran, whose wrestling had been effective throughout the match, earned another takedown in the third and landed in side control. From there the fighters scrambled, but it Rivera could not escape, as Duran moved to the back of his opponent and locked in the rear naked choke.

Scott Jorgensen vs. Ken Stone
Jorgensen entered this contest happy to through hands with his opponent, but Stone quickly changed his mind. The former top contender to the WEC bantamweight title landed several good right hands, but Stone continuously countered with a right of his own, along with body kicks and a head kick that glanced of Jorgensen. But a takedown quickly changed the momentum. In the guard of Stone, Jorgensen postured up and landed several big right hands, and, only moments later, he was being pulled off his victim by the referee.
Jorgensen def. Stone by knockout at 4:01 of Round 1
Justin Edwards vs. Clay Harvison
Edwards came out the aggressor early in this contest, but when Harvison loosened up, things got interesting. Throughout the close first round, both fighters traded submission attempts, though neither could secure anything. In the second, Edwards’ pace had slowed immensely, and Harvison, still quite fresh, stuffed takedown after takedown, likely winning the round. Following two close frames, Harvison entered the third looking to throw. He landed flush several times before earning a big takedown. But Edwards came back strong in the second half of the round, earning three takedowns during the final two and one-half minutes. Close fight between two tough competitors.

Shamar Bailey vs. Ryan McGilivray
This fight was about one thing, and that was the strength of Shamar Bailey. Bailey came out fast in the opening frame, dominating all five minutes with his wrestling. While McGilivray landed several shots in the second round, it was more of the same for Bailey. However, in the third and final round, McGilivray let his hands go, but, when he got simply too excited, Bailey executed yet another takedown. Once on his back, McGilivray could not handle the incredibly strength of his opponent, failing to earn a come-from-behind victory.
Bailey def. McGilivray by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Josh Grispi vs. George Roop
Oh, how Grispi’s stock has fallen. After losing to Dustin Poirier in his last contest, Grispi came out strong in the first round of this contest, working takedowns and submission attempts. Unfortunately for him, Roop pounded him with elbows and avoided submissions with ease. The first may have been close, but the second and third were hardly the same. Roop dominated his opponent with his stellar striking and finally finished the bout with a body shot that put Grispi down. Incredibly impressive performance by Roop.
Roop def. Grispi by technical knockout at 3:14 of Round 3
Danny Downes vs. Jeremy Stephens
In the final preliminary bout, Downes showed his heart, while Stephens displayed his experience. Stephens landed the bigger shots throughout the first, though Downes did well to avoid takedowns. That was not the case in the second, when Stephens earned the takedown and nearly finished the fight. While Downes somehow managed to survive a seriously dangerous kimura, he could do little to come even close to winning the round. Stephens managed to earn the takedown again in the third, dominating his over-matched opponent. He nearly earned the submission at the end of the round, but Downes survived. Dominant performance by Stephens, but incredibly heart displayed by Downes.
