Well Mike Tyson is going into the Boxing Hall of Fame this weekend .. He mite of do some fucked up shit in his life.. But if any one should be in the hall Mike should!!! he has to be the most powerful boxer ever !!! And one of the best !!!

He was justified in some of the stuff he did anyways, like you head butt some repeatedly u deserve to get your ear bitten off and fuck you, head butting is illegal and it wasnt getting called. I think Mike is great and he is even more amazing bc of what he did in that division at his height!!!

I've always liked him, I can't say I admire the ear bitting experience, but everyone has their moments of stupidity

Mike Tyson carried boxing on his back for years. IMO he is the best thing ever to come to the sport. When is the last time you see people order PPV and have big party's at their house for a boxing event. I know I havent heard of one nor been to one, since Tyson's last fight.

All he had was 3 tops years and that was it, and a 2 time champ, nothing more. He was good for those 3 years when he didnt fight anyone worthy. He feel from fame not because of his life outside the ring, it's because he was exposed and shown that he is not all that great. He was good, but not great!
Far from an impressive fighter by all standards if you ask me!

Inside hook, cross and upper cut is all he owned, with power for a short duration. Distance and combinations he could never grasp.

In the begining he had great defense, bobing, weaving and side to side.
That seemed to fall to the side as time went on. I think it was a shame
because he had the potental to be even better but he was his own worst
enemy. I remember he gave a interview and they asked him what he thought
his headstone would read. Now this was when he was on top. He said
he thought it would read "died alone and broke" (something like that)
Not what I call 'believing in yourself'.

I have to disagree a bit with the 3 year thing, when he was 14 he was lightning fast and a monster

i second that bro, there has never been any body as exciting or hard hitting as him come up in the sport.

I can honestly say I haven't watched a boxing match since Tyson bit Holyfield's ear, that was the last fight I've seen

The Ali/Fraiser and Ali/Foreman fights were Huge like that and it was just broadcast TV. I know - before your time - LOL
I remember when Tyson was young he could go the distance. Had some fights go to the later rounds and looked OK. It was
the older he got (along with less training) the less 'wind' he had. JMO

At his best, Tyson was a force unlike any other in boxing history. But, he was such an emotionally challenged person and I honestly think that when Don King got into his life it was the end for him. I can't remember his trainer's name, but the old guy who brought him along and was like a father to him...when he died, Tyson didn't have anyone else to take care of him. In many ways he was like a child and needed someone there to guide him and Don King emotionally rapes every fighter that he gets involved with, so that combination was just devastating for Mike Tyson.

Although his personality was always controversial and he always caught his self in many problems but we also can not deny this fact that he was the best among all.His power, technique, valor and passion was really admirable and made him unique among all always.
