I am six weeks out from my show.  What i need to know is when I should stop lifting heavy before my show and go to lower weights with higher reps?  Or should I even worry about it?  And how early should I stop training before the show?  I have heard several different ideas, and talked to a couple pros, but everyone has completely differing opinions on this.  I respect everyone on this boards opinions, so lets have them.  Thanks, Later

I've seen different pros answer differently.  Some say lift heavy all the way up, other say use more dumbell and concentration exercises closer to showtime.  Arnold talked about doing one set of curls every hour (to failure) the day or two the show plus pump-up type workouts and posing leading up to the show.  I think it's going to be a matter of trial and error as to what your body responds to to get hard and tight.  I'll personnally drop my weights and go for pump-up exercises about a week out and give Arnold's technique a try for my July 13th show.

That was kinda my idea, except quads. I am going to stop working Quads completely 1 week out, and throw 1 short workout in there for hams and calves, with low weights and a lot of reps.  Then stop training completely 3 days out, then that morning do light pump up type exercizes.  We will see what happens.  later

hey bro, i train heavy uptil 2 weeks out, heavy as in i take my 8 rep weight and use forced reps and thats it! train with 4's and 5's upto then to conserve tissue! legz take a while to dial in so get a good 10-15 reps in all the way and stop training 2-3 days out, using the 2 days b4 to go all body then rest up, get ready to add ur water back in, weigh up the need for diuretics then u can get ready to pump uo morning of!
remember, if ur body doesnt have to be big and strong it will waste that muscle, so dont pump out! never wins anythin!!!
i wudnt stop quads as they dial late bro!
