Tiki Barber and his fiancee,Traci Lynn Johnson. It would be wrong to snark on the name of the movie they’re attending. We’re better than that. (Evan Agostini / AP) The agent for former running back Tiki Barber, who had hoped to remove “former” from that description, said he is “flabbergasted” that not a single NFL team called Barber as rosters were finalized over the weekend.
Barber, 36, has been out of the NFL since retiring from the New York Giants in 2006 to begin a broadcasting career. With that career fizzling after a messy divorce (http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/timing_tiki_plays_field_TMZxMDNXxvBbNgVBToZL8O) and poor analogy choices (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/early-lead/post/tiki-barber-creates-a-stir-with-anne-frank-comparison/2011/05/27/AGh38tCH_blog.html), Barber surprised observers by unretiring (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/early-lead/2011/03/tiki_barber_plans_to_end_retir.html).
“We are flabbergasted that Tiki has not had an opportunity with any team, especially when rosters were at 90 players this year,” his agent, Mark Lepselter, told SI.com’s Peter King (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/peter_king/09/05/laborday/1.html). “I certainly thought some team would be intrigued to see what he had left in the tank.”
Only the Miami Dolphins brought Barber, the Giants’ career rushing leader, in for a workout — and the Dolphins went with Redskins reject Larry Johnson (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/early-lead/post/dolphins-sign-running-back-larry-johnson-pass-on-clinton-portis/2011/08/23/gIQAgO4pYJ_blog.html). And Lepselter took issue with SI’s quote that Barber is “devastated.” He is, Lepselter said, moving on. “This is the last time I am speaking on this subject in any way, shape or form,” he told the New York Post (http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/giants/agent_tiki_was_not_devastated_at_mfLcZMrw2fO8CJeqP cLagL). “You can't worry about the things in life you can't control and Tiki has moved forward accordingly.”

Yeah I seen a debate on this today on first take or first and ten whatever its called, and stephen a smith tryed saying tiki didnt get picked up cause he left his pregnant wife, and that is why no one wanted to pick him up , i say bullshit as did the rest of the shows panel, I mean the guys been out for 4 fucking years! Plus theirs shit loads of guys who get picked up by teams all the time after beating their wifes, or raping bitches, so i think stephan a smith was way off today, Not a big fan of his anyways, he's loud and obnoxious!
