Good age to start IGF-1?

I just turned 19, 5'9 145lbs 7% b/f and I was wondering if people had similar thoughts as to when people should be using IGF-1 as they do with HGH?

Should I hold off till I'm older (or just until I put on a few more pounds) to try out IGF-1 or could I just start on it now?

I've never heard anyone say you should be a certain age for IGF as with AAS. And, I think we've had several 18-21 year olds on here using it. So, I think you are fine to start using it.

Yeah I figured that it was a completely different story compared to hgh. But since it helps burn fat, should I be up'ing my calorie intake by a significant amount before/while I am taking igf? I don't want to purely cut, I would still like to put on some good gains.

at a 145lbs, im sure there is something your not doing right. I wouldnt waste a dime on drugs or supplements. Just eat and train hard. Maybe a good legit personal trainer would be worth it to you.

I agree with nuk nuk 100%. You're money would be better served with a bulking diet plan and training regimen laid out for you specifically. At 19 and 145, you could very easily be 190 by the time you're 21 naturally with the right training and diet

^ ^ ^ I would agree, too.

One thing that you have to be careful of when you're 19-22 is that it's still possible that you're still growing into your adult frame. There have been many cases when they weren't done even up to 24 years old. That means gear, IGF, and HGH could all have more potentially negative effects since you'd already be producing plenty of HGH (later converting to IGF) and testosterone, and you'd stop your natural production. Get the right training and especially diet, and I'd agree you could be 190 in a couple of years easily.

Ok thanks a lot guys. And yeah I'm not quite sure why I can't put on major weight. Been training for a bit over a year now and put on about 20lbs of muscle which I am very happy with. Although when people look at me they think I weigh 170+ easily, but I guess its just being so lean? Anyways does anyone have any links to good bulking diet plans? I've been looking but if anyone knows of some good ones that would be great.

Thanks a lot for all the responses guys.

I agree with NukNuk and everyone else here dude. Focus on the big 4 Compound movements..Squats, Deadlifts, Bench Presses, and Shoulder Presses. Focus on getting proper form, breathing, range of motion down and the heavier weight will come. Don't do anymore than 8 reps ( preferrably 4-6) in most of the above movements.
Try a 3-4 day a week upper/lower split routine. Eat LOTS of quality foods, since proper nutrition is about 70% of ANY goal in the gym.
Get a JOURNAL as well...I'm a trainer and this is one thing I try to impress on all my clients and friends. Its like having 'sales goals' if you're a salesperson in any biz. People tell me " Oh I can remember what I did last time in bench"..Yeah? But can you remember the weights, number of sets, reps that you did 2 months ago? Prolly not.

Thanks for the input but I'm not new to weightlifting.. I can bench more than any of my buddies who have 40 lbs on me. I'm just focusing on my foods and portion amounts right now to put on more weight before I try out IGF hopefully next year or the year after once I hit 180 ish.

Not for nothing bro but i been at this for a long long time and im still learning new things about bodybuilding, diet ect. So although ur not new to weightlifting, im sure you can still learn alot here.

As for your question on bulk dieting, run a search here with the terms "bulk dieting" i am positive we have loads of bulking diet threads here, so again maybe run a search here and see what you can find

nuk nuk has a thread in the MuscleChemistry forum about his offseason bulking diet if you wanna check that out.

I meant no disrespect when I responded to his post, it was just very basic information that I consider common knowledge. I am always open to help/input no matter how elementary they may be.

I will be sure to check it out, currently I am following a 3,200 cal plan right now, which should help me get up about 1lb a week.

It's just so hard to keep your appetite up to eat a full meal every 3-4 hours :s. In the morning when I'm eating I literally have to spend about 20-30 minutes to finish off all of my eggs and oats.
