I need a training partner like this...

yeah they seemed like a good match for one another size wise and weight wise!
 
Shit where I live there are only two guys around that train hard core.. but it would be nice to have training partner like that..
 
Yea, they seem like a perfect match for training with each other. I don't train as hardcore as that, but I do train harder than most idiots in my gym especially at the time that I go in. So I don't see me having anyone worthwhile to train with
 
I wish I had a partner too. I need someone to spot me and push me to go harder.
 
Yea, I know what you mean. I don't really need someone to push me harder, but I need them there for those last few reps that I'm unsure of trying by myself
 
I would like to have a training partner but I have learned not to count on anyone. Every time I think I found someone that's wants to work out they only go for about a month then quit!!
 
I broke my last partner! I definately agree I need a hardcore training partner, even drill sgt like.....female preferred..lol
 
I want a partner bigger than me who can push me . I'm pretty consistent in training but I need a serious partner . I had one last year but lost him to another gym that is going to sponsor his bodybuilding . I had some decent female training partners but I like the whole competitive "guy" thing . I worked out a few times with Saudades on a visit but we don't live in the same city . He was a great training partner especially on arm and leg days . I was sore for days .
In the meantime I am hanging in and pushing myself in the gym .. Not giving up I want to make gains this year . .
 
I am on my third training partner right now. Guys from work want to train with me but when they see how I train they eventually start going by themselves again, lol.

But what I do know is I would love to look like the guy posing. Perfect size IMHO. Jacked, ripped but still athletic looking.

I read this article that guys train harder and more intense with a female partner, guys are competitive but they have this natural instinct to over perform with an attractive woman present..It was crazy said they can lift 30% more of thier max weight in this situation, if a dude pushes me harder cool, but It depends on the workout on which partner is best for you..I will look for that research article.
 
It's also a proven fact that you're brain causes you to not lift as much as you can by psyching yourself out. For instance, if you tell someone to load 300 (your 1RM) on bench and they would actually load 320 you'd be more inclined to get it thinking your lifting 300 than knowing it was 320 because your brain plays a negative effect on the muscles

That's right. That's why they tell you to visualize the lift first, to see yourself doing it. You have to believe you can do it first.
 
You can believe that you can lift it all you want, but it'll still hold true that if you think it's less weight, you'll lift it easier...The mind will always play tricks on you. I've tested this theory recently by letting a friend just load the bar for me and I didn't even look at the bar and he'd put 15 more pounds on it than I actually thought was on it and I benched it for as many reps as I would've with the lesser weight. I do pyramids and my last set is normally at 235 and it was actually 250 this time and I was able to get it for 4 reps like I would've if it was 235
 
A great training partner is worth their weight in gold. I can't find one either. After a leg workout and they cant walk for a week, they don't come back. I'd love to have a workout partner as jack as the guy in the tank top. That would push me to lose more body fat and push in the gym. Esp. if he's more jacked than me and bigger thank me. Then the competitive edge comes out.
