ESPN reporter Ed Werder says Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow is very sincere, almost childlike and allows people to get very close to him. Werder says it was bedlam on the field after the Broncos beat the Steelers.

The poll, calculated monthly, had the Denver Broncos quarterback ranked atop the list for the month of December. In the 18 years of the ESPN Sports Poll only 11 different athletes -- a list that includes Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and LeBron James -- have been No. 1 in the monthly polling.
In December's poll, Tebow was picked by 3 percent of those surveyed as their favorite active pro athlete. That put him ahead of Kobe Bryant (2 percent), Aaron Rodgers (1.9 percent), Peyton Manning (1.8 percent) and Tom Brady (1.5 percent) in the top-five of the results.
The poll results were gathered from 1,502 interviews from a nationally representative sample of Americans ages 12 and older.

"To put this in perspective, Tim Tebow rose to the top before the end of his second pro season. It took Tiger Woods three years, LeBron James eight years and Kobe Bryant 11 years," Rich Luker, founder and director of the ESPN Sports Poll, said. "I think we may be at the front end of a new era in sports stars."
Tebow is just the sixth different athlete to finish No. 1 in the monthly rankings since 2007. The others are Brett Favre, Manning, Woods, Bryant and James.
"This is an exciting finding and one that reflects the sentiment of all sports fans, not just the online or social media world," Artie Bulgrin, senior vice president for Research and Analytics, ESPN Sales and Marketing, said

I was just getting ready to post this for irish....

it doesn't surprise me with the obvious feminization of america....top shows are singing shows, dancing shows, Glee (gay), gay is cool now and being shoved down our throats (no pun intended).....so liking a multimillionaire nfl running back who is subbing as denver's qb yet never been laid (obviously gay) .....it all makes sense......

i do question polls like this though....polls can be made to show results however you want them....."polls are not scientific and only reflect the views of those who participated"......basically gay or tee-blow lovers voted

I like the kid, he stands up for what he believes. Hope he wins his ring and shows Brady how its done this Sunday. Why would it bother people if the guy prays? Are people threatened?

I like him, but I can see valid points in irish's post as well. If he wasn't an ex-Gator, I probably wouldn't like him though to be quite honest

I can understand why some dont like him with all the mainstream media fawning over him. I just see nothing wrong with someone who prays. Maybe some feel he's making a spectecle out of himself. But yet in what little interviews I've seen he appears humble.

I guess with all the jerks and self centered athletes we have who have drug issues, are woman abusers, dog abusers etc its kinda refreshing to see somebody who is clean cut.

If hes gay, damn what a shame as I would bet most females would throw their panties at him.

You know, they say when someone costantly is calling people gay they are hiding there own sexuality. Just sayn:moon:

God asks Aaron Rodgers: "What do you believe?" Rodgers says, "I believe in hard work and in staying true to family and friends.” God can't help but see the goodness of Rodgers and offers him a seat to His left.

Then God turns to Tim Tebow and says, "What do you believe?" Tebow says, "I believe in Your total goodness, love and generosity and that You have given all to mankind.” God is greatly moved by Tebow’s eloquence, and offers him a seat to His right.

Finally, God turns to Tom Brady: "And you, Tom, what do you believe?"
I believe that you are in my seat!!! Lol.
