It wasn't quite as overwrought as LeBron James' decision on which team to abandon Cleveland for, but Jeff Fisher has finally chosen a coaching destination. He will take his talents to the St. Louis Rams.

Last week, Fisher interviewed with both the Rams and the Miami Dolphins, visiting both teams' facilities. Rumors of where he would land started to leak on Monday, but there was no definitive news until ESPN reported today that he is headed to St. Louis.

After taking off the 2011 season, he was the hottest available coaching prospect. Fisher spent 17 seasons with the Houston Oilers-turned-Tennessee Titans, compiling a record of 142-120. His teams won four division titles and a conference championship. The 1999 team lost in the Super Bowl to, interestingly enough, the Rams.

Now, it will be Fisher's job to restore the Rams to the team they were when they beat his Titans. Steve Spagnuolo was fired after three disappointing years in St. Louis, as was general manager Billy Devaney. The Rams are still conducting a search for their GM.
