Why are football players so stupid?

Watching the Giants and Packers earlier and Eli hits the receiver with a nice pass. The safety is right there to tackle him, but instead throws a weak shoulder at him. The receiver bounces off and runs the rest of the field untouched for a touchdown. Why can't these idiots play without ego and play right? They all want to deliver a highlight hit instead of making a simple tackle. This is why I really can't stand football.
 
because they can afford to be, look at all the money they make

most of the players seem like they would just rather look good and lose than just play and win
 
ya, it's over now.....really no need to watch next week or the super bowl now....dissappointed yes, but more dissapointed that it's gonna be 6 months of no football now
 
Even though I put my money on the Giants today, I still thought Green Bay was going to win the game, just not cover the 9 point spread. I am shocked at how that game ended up getting played out. I mean everyone knew Green Bay had problems on defense, but where did their offense go today??
 
irish, I know exactly how you are feeling too. I felt the same way last week when the Steelers lost. Now I don't have much interest at all in who goes to the Superbowl. I hate Eli, Brady and the Ravens. I don't really like the Niners, but since my girl's brother loves them I want to see them lose so really I could care less because one way or another a team or player I hate will win a ring. I just REALLY, REALLY hope Brady doesn't get another one. I don't want to hear about this dynasty bullshit anymore

I'm with you. I don't want Brady to win, but they are looking like the team to beat right now. I was just telling my wife how the Saints vs. Packers game would be the real Championship game and the winner would walk through the Super Bowl. What happened???
 
I guess at this point I'm routing for the Giants or the Ravens because I can't see the Niners tie the Steelers for the most Super Bowl wins
