Tomorrow My wife is getting breast implants! Needless to say we're both excited. The doc is going under the pecs with the implants which involves partially detatching the muscle. Unfortunately the recovery time is much longer with this method. She is pretty bummed about this and she's going to be chomping at the bit to resume her training. She's seen the results I've been getting from the IGF and she asked if it would aid in speeding up her recovery time. So what do you guys think? Is it worth a shot?

I'd say its worth it, seeing how she would only need to dose it for 2 weeks probably? I dont see much harm in that, and im pretty sure it will only benefit her. I'd apply to her stomach though...definitely not near the boob, dont wanna risk even getting near the implant.

I'm not really experienced in this field, because i just started using IGF this week....however, like i said, i dont think short term dosing would do ANY harm at all.

After the implants my wife started training light in 3 weeks as long as there was no discomfort. She doesnt do heavy chest anymore though. IGF will help, but I probably wouldn't spend the money on it for her unless she's been training natural for a while. Don't make her one of those "I can't train without supplements" people.

Only 3 weeks, that's good to hear! I have plenty of IGF on hand and she's trained natural for a long time so I'll start her on 30mcg's after the surgery. I hear you, and neither one of us are really like that but I do know some folks that freak out if they've missed a dose of creatine on a off day!

the last thing i would do is introduce a needle into her body post surgery. wait until she has fully healed her incisions at a MINIMUM!!!!!!
typically that means 3-4weeks
you are exposing her to a huge infection risk unnecessarily in my opinion.
Even if you use aseptic techniques, the skin still harbors bacteria, you can wipe it all day long with alcohol and that wont change. every time you push a hollow needle through the skin you are carrying bacteria into the body.. bad idea with any kind of new implant bro. i understand you want to do it in the stomach but its still not worth it man.

I couldn't agree more. The body needs time to heal before any type of subq is done. 1 month should be suffciant....

Glad to hear your decision. A minimum of one month bro. If it were me i'd wait even longer but i am paranoid about post op infection. Ive seen knee replacements get infected years down the road just from simple dental work being done. Anytime theres a foreign body implanted whether its a plate, a stent, or a tit you really have to be careful and watch closely for signs of infection.

There's nothing wrong with a little healthy paranoia bro! There's no harm in waiting longer than a month so that's what I'll do.

Glad that you got all this advice now instead of doing something and regretting it later...Good thing you made this post bro

No doubt! There's no reason to ever take a death defying leap or take the guinea pig route when there's a place like this to get advice! Thanks again guys!

Anytime bro. Im sure i speak for all of us when i say how much i learn from others hanging out here. Its a great support system

She's still all wrapped up right now, so I can't really tell yet. She goes to see the doc on Wednesday, and he'll remove the pain pump and the wraps, then he gets the first crack at them because he has to move them around so scar tissue won't form around them. Then I'll be charge of that duty from then on!
