Posing Music Help!!!!

I know it is far off but I like to get my music done before I start depleting and brain does not work anymore. So any input would be appreciated. I have posed to Tool Sober, Metallics Master Of Puppets, and Metallica Fight Fire With Fire. My music can be 60 secs this year at the USAs, I like something heavy but have a problem because a lot of the music I like has many four letter words in it. I can blend two songs if need be just looking for additional ideas, I also like all instrumental and no words. Like the beginning of Distubed Down With The Sickness, would have to blend with something else. Any ideas?

Thinking outside the normal box of modern day music. Classical is just perfect IMHO for posing.

Could blend classical and hard rock with something like this?

I dnt know about that, but anything is better than fckn country music!!!!! How about "when worlds collide" by powerman 5000 or "tear away" by drowning pool. I'm gonna use "sumertime(shove it)" by the deftones.

Besides a badass video stunt. the song would be badass to pose to. The beat it be easy to hit poses.

Jenn pose to this...Please.

I like classical- if you are the type of poser that moves fluidly form pose to pose then it will work. I have also used Van Halen (Right Now) or Nickleback and change poses on the beginning beat of the measure or begin at end of phrase and transition to another pose. There are some guys(mostly younger) out there that pick Powerman or something heavy, and there is no fluidity in transition poses- its really jacked and looks like convulsions because you can see that there is no pre-thought on the next pose. I just think that art is gone from bodybuilding and it shows. I just think that if you have spent all that time to get ready for the show, posing and posing routines demand the same attention. To the original question, you have a lot of options to mix with -instrumentals can work well as long as the transition (both music and posing are not choppy)
My two cents..

I totaly disagree with you on this one. I like classical music and one day will prob use it for posing routines. But I prefer music that transitions from slow to fast and back and fourth hence the reason I'm using sumertime by the deftones. Starts kickn ass then slows WAY down then fast and so on. I like music that gets people into your routine and not when the fck is this guy gna be off stage. Even when I do use a classical song it will have to transition or I won't use. Would love to use the song at the beginning of the original conan the barbarian movie. Fckn love that song. Also, a good poser can use any song wether it be heavy slow or whatever and have a beautiful routine with it. Just takes practice

I get your viewpoint--- my big gist is that most guys I see at shows don't transition(poses)- period.
It is like they go out there- and you don't know what hell they are going to do- they are all over the place and you can see the gears in their head thinking what can I throw in there so I don't look like a complete fool.
These guys don't practice posing routines at all--- in all my years of going to or participating in shows, the women always seem to get it right.
You are right --- A GOOD POSER can pose to every and any song- but I see very few of them these days.

I totaly agree with you on that point. When I did the battle of champions I was the only one that had even spent time practicing a routine. I was shocked that no one had the decentsy to pick a song and come up with a routine and practice it till they had in down pat. To me, if you are gonna step on stage you should do the best you can to present yourself. I'm a firm believer that you only get what you put into whatever you are doing. I spent 4 solid weeks practicing my routine. I want to be the best poser at every show I compete in.....

I just think that the music should match the person posing, no matter what the song. Also their are a lot of poses people shouldn't do, due to the way your physique looks. I hate seeing some out of shape person get on stage, and the first thing they do is bend down or get on one knee or something... it only makes your fat, out-of-shape ass look worse!

A lot of good thoughts here. Thanks! I am always well aware of what looks good on me and what does not. Posing should be showing off your strengths not your weaknesses. I work on my posing routine for months just so that I do not have to worry about it at all when I get on stage. They fck up my music at the nationals but was able to do ok because I knew my routine so well. I do like some harder music because I feel it fits my physique plus it wakes people up, don't know about you guys but routine after routine to very slow music makes me sleepy and these shows are running so damn long now. However I have seen some very good routines to slower music, I just have a hard time moving that slow.

We talked about this the other night and IMO you need to pose to something powerful as that matches your physique. I've seen a few people pull off classical powerful theatrical music, but it's VERY rare! I want to get pumped up and see someone really play to the crowd!! I do love some Mozart, Beethoven, or Bach and some of the greats before bed.
