I have recently started to eat sweet potatoes. Just wanted to know how everyone cooks theirs. And how can they be healthy for you? They taste like they are cover in sugar and butter!!! I guess that's why they are called sweet potatoes..

I shred them using a shredder, almost so they're thin like chips. Then I cover with olive oil (and/or Pam butter spray), cayenne pepper and lots of garlic power. I spread them out on a cookie sheet and bake them at abt 400 until they're crispy. I'm NOT a great cook so there may be an easier way to make these, but it works for me and they're healthier than chips............shhhhhh, don't tell the hubby. He thinks I don't cook ;)

I have observed that there are 2 types of potatoes . One is sweet and other one is not sweet . I have tried both type of potatoes but like sweet potatoes much but i do not have an idea why potatoes are sweet .

I use one of those mandolins/finger guillotine. Put them on a rack and set at 400 for about 20 minutes.

baked sweet potatoes with some butter, salt, and pepper are pretty good. I'm not a huge sweet potato guy, but they are good every once in a while.

I bake them in the oven, usually whole bunch. Then I eat on them all week. Just slice them up with egg whites or turkey.

Sweet potatoes give the same energy and benefit as the others but the sweet taste in a dish after cooking do not give us a real taste of a food dish.Si i always make the potato chips of sweet dish.

i just simply nuke'em

i used to boil them cause the skin came off so easily, but after they sit for a day or 2 the sugar drips out of them and collects on the bottle on the container
