So I could not find an energy bar that didnt taste like dirt or actually gave me energy I needed so I made one and it works and tastes great.
Now for those of you on strict diets it may not be NUTRIONALLY SOUND but it works and is very tasty.

Energy Bar By XXXX

1/2 cup honey less can be used but no less than 1/3 cup
3/4 cup dark brown sugar (light brown sugar can be substituted)
1 cup chunky (any brand you choose) or natural peanut butter (I used chunky natural for my first recipe)
1 cup quaker oats
6 oz dried fruit-raisins, cherries, cranberries etc (I used cherries in mine, yum)

In a sauce pan add honey and brown sugar and use light heat until melted and blended, stir constantly to avoid scorching. A little water can be added approx a tsp at a time just to keep mix wet if to dry and not dissolving well.
After mixture is dissolved together remove from heat and spoon in peanut butter and mix thoroughly.
After mixture is a smoothy consitency add oats a little at a time mixing thoroughly then add dried fruit.
Mix well and place a sheeet of wax paper on a plate shiny side up fellas and spoon mixture onto plate.
Place in fridge for 30 minutes or so until mixture stiffens then score approx 2 inch by 2 inch sections.
This mixture can be broken up and placed in bags in a cool dry place.
I love this mix it provides the energy I need and is great tasting, just dont eat it all in one sitting.

Now nutritional facts:
Dark brown sugar -15 calories per tsp and 4g carbs

Smuckers Chunky Natural Peanut Butter- per 2 tbsp 200 calories, 16 grams sat fat, 6g carbs and 7g protein(your may vary depending on type used)

Quaker oats-per 1/2 cup 150 calories, 27g carbs 5g protein 3g of poly, mono and 0.5 sat fat

Dried fruit will vary by recipe
Honey-1tbsp 64 calories 17.4g carbs, 0.6 g protein

A 2 inch by 2 inch will yield sufficient energy for a workout and decent snack.
