Obviously there are severals ways to use insulin and they depend on whether your using Humalin R or Humalog. I personally use Humalin R. I'm up to 12 iu per application. I always do 1 first thing in the morning with my "insulin shake". I use 10oz of apple juice, 1 banana, probably 1 1/2 cups of frozen strawberrys, 1 cup of vanilla Greek yogurt, 80g of Whey Concentrate and 20g of Pepto Pro. I'll also eat some pasta within the hour. At 1 1/2 hours post admin I eat a big egg omelet with just egg whites, turkey, fat free cheese, and turkey bacon. I'll also have 8oz of apple juice and 1 bagel. I do insulin every morning and post workout.
How do you guys use it?
Any questions on its use?
I've managed to really put on no fat and a good amount of quality tissue combining this with IGF pre workout.

I like the idea of this. I've got a lil 100iu ml / 10ml vial of humalog spending some time in my fridge. I'm scared to try it. So this thread is awesome for me. I want the feedback and protocols of you veteran insulin users

Come on guys. I get tons of PM's about the usage of insulin and I know we've got people that use regularly on here. Share the wealth!
I've tried insulin pre workout and switched my IGF to post and didn't like it. I did a shake with 50 - 75g of carbs and 30g of Pepto Pro with the admin and then sipped a shake with 75g of sugars and 20g of BCAA's while training and didn't like it. I didn't get the pumps, gains, or strength that I did using my current protocol.

why do people use the fast acting humalin R twice a day instead of using a blend like 30/70 or somthing ? Or is that what humalog is im still learning about insulin.

Humalog is faster acting, but also harder hitting. Humalin R is still pretty quick when done IM. It hits within 15 minutes and again at 1 and a half hours post admin.

Ok dude.. Here's my ideal use if Humalin r .8iu in morning similar to you. Then immediately post wo .8iu and creatine protein shake . And 40iu igf1r3 due to the effect insulin extends the half life longer of it in the body . Then the needed 10-12 grams per iu used of complex carb and protein to stop any hypoglycemic action. 4hrs after last shot it's outa the system. Makes me piss a lot.do you? Dont nap after insulin cause it cause it may make u groggy but u need to stay awake to prevent the hypoglycemia till after 4hrs .

Yeah after the 4 hours I pee like crazy, but during its use it also makes me crazy thirsty. I never put the two together though. Are you already using IGF and insulin? When I started insulin I had to start drastically lower due to the IGF compounding it's strength?

I'm curious to see some more input here so that maybe I'll feel a little more comfortable with this stuff, as of right now I'm not feeling comfortable enough to run it

I have tried using it without MC IGF and it was no where near as impressive. I think the IGF shifts something around and makes gaining lean tissue with a very minimal amount of fat gain even with the increase in calories.

Exactly, the insulin is enhanced by the igf so I started at 5iu, thus the short term Humalin r stays in system longer by I say an hour with me and igf peaks at 4 hours instead of 2-4 depending on the compound quality . Pumps are longer and i drink like a horse too. Use some razor8 and really feel it.

Can someone post up like preferred foods to have on hand at the time of dosing and stuff like that? I've always heard that you can't eat too many fatty foods, is that true as well? I've never really looked into this much, but I'm curious to learn more about it

I try to go without fat for the entire period or as low as possible. I make sure I have bagels, apple juice, powder dextrose now, and some fruit. Easily digestible foods are usually good during that time if you really want to go that far, but you can definately I jest more protein than you otherwise would.

If you guys missed the other post, I learned the hard way that if you shoot your dose in the arm it hits much harder and faster than in the thigh. Definately noteworthy!

so you think it would be better to use humalin r post workout instead of pre workout? this is my first time and I was going to use igf with it. igf 30 mins pre workout then hit 5ius of insulin right after and have my shake with 60 grams of carbs and also drink a gatorade with bcaas in it during my workout then of course another shake with carbs. You apply the insulin subq just like gh correct?

The Dude

I do IGF pre workout so insulin is done in the morning and post workout. I always do my insulin IM, it's faster and more predictable.

That protocol is fine bro! Just b sure to get plenty of carbs in after ur slin, before ur workout. Subq in the abdomen with slin is fine.

Ed if what dude says about I.M. Slin being mire predictable then I would go that route but I've never heard that before, however if u can make it more predictable in any way then that's what u want to do Brutha

Absolutely. Just start small and be over prepared with dextrose and sugary drinks

Exactly . IM route takes in insulin three times as fast to the pancreas as subc. And start low like you're saying.

Are you still just using a 1/2" slin pin for the insulin? Just curious because it doesn't seem like that'd get too deep into the thigh
