I know you girls eye up other girls, but why mainly?

I know our female community is limited, but I'm interested in the responses none the less. Do you do it as a "she's a ho" thing, or "she's in great shape", or maybe it's just "I'd like to talk to her". I've seen girls constantly eyeing other girls and I can't help but wonder what you're thinking!

I hate to say it, but in the past I've definitely judged girls based on their looks. I still do to some degree, but now I try and catch myself. I've been told by a few people that I look like a bitch or a snob which I'm not. I'm just very quiet and shy until I know you. I'm trying to be more outgoing at the gym and make friends. I did slip up the other day. There's this cute 18 yr old who always wears little gym shorts (she does have the legs and butt to pull it off) who walks from machine to machine with her music playing and never makes eye contact with anyone...SNOB!!! was the first word that came to mind, but then I thought...hmmm who does that remind me of...ME! I knew she was training for her first show so next time I saw her I asked aboout it, turns out she's very sweet and focused. I made a new friend at the gym So I'm working on the whole "don't judge a book by its cover" thing. However, I can't take a girl seriously if she has long hair and it's down...she's is not in the gym to workout! She's probably a ho :laugh:

I was really catty in my 20s. The older I get the more secure I am in my own skin and I do not feel threatened by any females. If I am checking out a girl in the gym it is usually because I think she is hot and want to point her out to my husband . Now there are some real bitchy girls in the gym, I thought Silk was a bit snooty (my bad) but still hot so I pointed her out to my husband. Sorry Dude didn't know you guys then . The older I get the more I don't have the time or patience for highschool drama. I give props to girls who look good.

competition... in a world where we are told that it is our job to look good we naturally size up competition... no one likes to hear that someone does a better job than them... admiration... wow that girl is really pretty, how can I look like that.... motivation...ewww..... thats why I'm working out, do I'll never look like that... LOL.... lots of reasons... if I'm totally jealous of a girl, that means I really admire her

I think men are the same way in some respect. If someone looks good they are usually gay. If someone is dressed nice they are usually gay. Or if someone is driving a Prius they are usually gay. Works a little different but you get the picture.

This is so TRUE! I usually "eye up" a girl just admiring and/or trying to figure out how I can get my body or certain parts to look like that! I don't ever do it in a snobby way or anything and try not to let them catch me! There is always things we admire of other people! But I totally agree with SILK, if a girl has her hair all done and at the gym, she isn't there to work out!

I might admire a guys physique but it's never really a jealousy thing. The way I look at is there's always going to be someone bigger, stronger, leaner, more well endowed, or more whatever than u so it's not really a competition and there's no winner. We all have admirable qualities and we take what we're given and make the most of it.

It's nice to get an idea of what women think in the gym. Very cool thread!

At least now the single guys know what woman to go hit on. Pony tails and hair pulled back are a no go and fluffed up hair and make up are there to play.
