Hey guys, been looking of the thread for a while now and wanted to ask some of the vets their opinion on IGF, and my special circumstances.
I know you guys are going to think I'm crazy or very ill after telling you all this, but what the hell :)
I'm a 40 yr old, insulin dependant diabetic, who has had a kidney translplant. I'm fully recovered and now that my body is working as it should (I've been sick for years) I want to have that body I want and deserve to have had for the past 10 years. I've discussed the use of certain enhancement drugs with my doctors, and of course, they just look at me like I've lost my mind. I've been told to stay away from anything with Creatine in it, because of the new kindey.
I've been in the gym at least 6 days a week (not over doing it, just enjoy taking cardio days when not lifting) and I've seen a loss in weight and a little gain in lean muscle.
I hear such great things on IGF and wondered if this would be something you guys would suggest for me to take to get that extra bump that my body needs to keep gaining mass and shed the fat. Currently my body fat is around 22 but I want to get it down to about 15. I know you guys aren't doctors, but any opinion would be great. And if not IGF, what would you suggest?

well first of al Congrats on the new kidney and your decision to maintain a healthy lifestyle, now with that bieng said, and im no Dr obviously but I can tell you that HGG and IGF-1 will not put any kind of extra load on your kidneys. Now you will want to stay away from the creatine for sure as its been known to shut donw kidneys of young healthy guys, ofcourse when used in access but stil.

I personaly think a little IGF wouldnt hurt at all, nor would a little HGH.

And welcome to MuscleChemistry bro! If you have any other questions please dont hesitate to ask, were not doctors, but we have enough experience here to try to help you figure out a good healthy game plan. Actualy we do have a couple doctors here who are regular contributers so maybe they can chime in as well!

Wow bro I admire your courage! Conrats on getting your health and body back on track! I'm not a doc but if you're going to be lifting for the purpose of adding muscle then your going to have to up your protien intake which can stress the kidneys a bit but if you're drinking plenty of water I wouldn't think it would be an issue. As far as the IGF goes I don't have enough experience or knowledge to speak on that so I'd follow presser's advice on that! Like he said there are seceral doctors here that'll give you good no BS advice! BTW, Welcome to MC!

Thanks for the quick replies. It's definatley been an uphill battle, but I'm pretty determened to keep going with it. I have upped my protein intake to about 300 a day (egg whites, whey, lean ground turkey, etc) and just needed that extra boost which I feel the IGF and HGH would provide. So far nothing stressful on the kidneys with the extra protein and water intake. May have to give it another month before ordering it but it sounds like (from the reviews and your advice) that it should be fine to take.

One other thing, as far as HGH goes, any suggestions on what to use, there seem to be many on the market.
Or I guess I should say what has worked for you guys?

your best bet is to try to get it from a dr or a rejuvenation clinic with a script brutha!

Sounds good...I'll check into that, in the mean time I'll go with the IGF for a few months (starting in mid April) and see how that works, thanks again for the advice bro

As Presser has stated I'd think that you'd be fine using IGF, but I'd start it low and see how you tolerate it. I don't think it would bother your kidney, but you may just want to keep an eye on it.

Thanks to all, this site is great for learning what others don't seem to want you to learn about. I get lab work done every other months so I'd know pretty quickly if there were problems coming from anything. Thanks again. (Now off to find a couple of good routines to use for the next month of lifting!)

We're always glad to help, that's one thing that'll set us apart from others, but it seems as though you've already noticed that. Good luck with everything
