Growing Into A Show

Seems somewhat impossible with calorie restrictions, increased cardio and weigh training but it is possible. Of course with the right supplements. Oldschool always tells me to stick to the plan and grow into the show. Of course your body composition changes but actually put on muscle while dieting???? I did 8 weeks of carb depletion for the Nationals, eating only 3lbs of green beans per day and 2oz of oatmeal am, fish and chicken. Calories about 1900 I weighed exactly the same as at the Florida state in August. I looked completely different, and I mean completely. Lost more bodyfat but kept the same weight. So I did put on muscle while dieting. Anyone else grow into their shows??
 
I was growing into my show. I dieted 8 weeks and lost 3lbs but like you I looked completely different! I was eating a ton of food and 45 min of cardio first thing in the am. I was off of all supps for 13 months prior to the start of my prep so I was primed and ready to go! So yes I agree with you if the variables are right you can grow into a show.
 
Jenn that was the most freakish thing I've ever seen! I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it!
