Was anyone surprised with the 1st round? I watched some of it last night, but caught the rest of it on the draftcast ESPN had going.

And I was PISSED when Pittsburgh didn't take Hightower. We need a younger defense and they take an OG as their first pick? WTF

Just saw this thread, sorry man! I love the draft. I wouldn't be too hard on Pitt, they have a GREAT draft record.

They do, but damn it, we just lost a good bit of our defense and we draft an O-line player first. I understand we didn't have a steady O line last year, but WTF? They of all people should know defense wins games

If you can't keep big Ben upright and healthy you have no chance of winning no matter how good your D is. I'm a BIG fan of drafting the best online man in tge draft in the first round! Very few high pick offensive lineman have been bust. Most of them turn out to be the cornerstone of a great line for a solid decade.

Yea, but I know Big Ben has to be healthy, but they've made the bold statement that they're wanting to get back to the running game, but then who knows because they made a point to get some talent at WR. I'd just like to know what they're thinking. Our defense is old and we just lost a couple players on there
