Judged My First Show

Went with Oldschool, Dude and Silk tonight to judge a little show in our area. The head judge was nice, a bodybuilder as well but some of her scores were puzzling and we only had four judges so could not throw out the high and the low. The other judge was a girl who has never been to a show and it going to do her first bikini show this year, found that odd as well. Good thing is all who deserved first got it as well as the overall. So you never know who will be judging a show. The Michigan that I did in 2000, I won the heavyweight but lost the overall. No formal training for the judges, just local bbers. One in fact had tried to pick me up while his wife was pregnant, I told his wife about it and ends up he was a judge that definitely didn't help me. Felt nice to be on the other side tonight and go with what truly I felt was fair.

You two did a great job. I have to admit, I was totally perplexed as to how they were in any way qualified to judge an elementary school talent show. I noticed they just seemed to look over at you and see what you were doing.

its feels pretty self satisfying knowing you were fair doesnt it?, i know that sounds cheesey to some, but when u see some of the politics in shows and how bad and rampent it is, it makes u feel realy proud of being as honest as you knew how to be!

Very satisfying, at least I could make some sort of difference. This is a very big deal to these kids and it should be treated as such. Plus pretty cool to see such young guys compete, the middleweight and overall winner looks awesome! Short but great symmetry and lots of potential, and a pretty good posing routine.

Wow! That's crazy Jenn! Was it an NPC show? Here in texas we have 8 judges that have been around a long time. Of those 8 judges 6 will judge a show alternating different shows. I think all but 2 of tge judges are national level or pros. They do a great job here.
