Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner was charged with driving under the influence and speeding Tuesday morning, just hours after his team beat the Denver Broncos on Monday night.

The 30-year-old Turner was released from the Gwinnett County Detention Center just after 5 a.m. on a bond of $2,179.

Lt. Sean Smith of the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office says the traffic citation given to Turner shows he was pulled over for driving 97 mph in a 65 mph speed zone.

Turner scored the opening touchdown for the Falcons in their 27-21 win over the Broncos and finished the game with 42 yards on 17 carries. He also had a reception for no gain.

Dumbass! Hell knowing goodell he will be suspended for 8 games!

If anything I'd think if you're driving drunk you'd be going slower than the speed limit, not 30+ MPH over
