I knew he had one brother in the NFL but did NOT know his other brother was just drafted in the 1st round by the Patriots, so out of 3 brothers, 2 are in NFL starting/playing and he is the UFC LHW Champ!

Thats simply Amazing!

He said his parent didnt allow then to have cell phones, no cable tv in the house and they had to play within the house and yard and couldnt go hang out and were church going folks!

I wish more parents took that approach! Im still NOT a big fan of him not taking the Sonnen fight and basicly him being the entire reason UFC 151 was canceled but ill prolly still buy the fight this Saturday!

That's great to hear that all 3 BOYS are successful. We're pretty strict with the our kids on about what they watch. We just cut out Cartoon Network mostly for the later shows but I'm actually more surprised of the shows on Disney Channel with these tween shows that mouth off. My oldest thought he was cool and started to act like one of these characters......that shit got shot down real quick.

good for you bro! yeah I dont get how television, and not cable but regular network tv gets away with some of this shit! Its amazing and kids see it and think its ok to mouth off to their parents and so on and so forth, its just fucked up

Reality TV is the worst thing to happen to society, they pick the worst people to be on TV and be potential role models for teenagers these days. When I grew up I was influenced by athletes, now kids are influenced by people on the Jersey Shore, The Real World and whatever else they come up with which is only showing them how to drink, fight and get into trouble that they can't get out of because they're not famous

I'd be even leery of athletes as role models. In the end the parents need to be the best role models possible.

Athletes today for the most part are just thugs that can play a sport, but back when Larry Bird and Jordan were big there weren't that many guys getting into trouble. At least you didn't hear much about it
