As a Red Sox and Pirates (hometown) fan, I have 2 reasons to root for the Tigers. The first being because I hate the Yankees and the second is that Jim Leyland was the last Pirates coach to take them to the playoffs. So seeing the Yankees down to a do or die game for the next 4 games is great. I hate seeing them win every other year, it's old and I'm tired of hearing from Yankee nation lol. I know people will blame it on injuries, but the whole team has underperformed in the playoffs, period point blank.
