Anyone else see this shit? Ed REED got suspended for one game and loses a game check worth over $400,000 . The hit was 100% legal, not dirty and he aimed low and the receiver turned at the last minute and lowered his head, so Ed REED inadvertently hit helmet to helmet and he got Suspended

THE NFL is ruining this game slowly but surely!

I hope each team gets together one day and every fucking game played on SUnday is played with the players actually playing 2 hand touch, just to make a point!

well they reversed the decision to suspend ed reed for the hit, so he will not lose over 400k$ but they still fined him 50k$ which is still bullshit

Yeah it seems more and more they have been getting involved...And why a monetary fine?? Who gets to keep that money I wonder??

I could see if the play was completely over, the ball was dead and he charged them and lowered his helmet into his face...But to me that is more of a criminal charge(hypothetical I know).

Do you remember back in the day when that hockey player took his skate off and started stabbing the guy with the tip of the skate?? I mean for that, I would not question such a determination.

They seem to be focusing alot on concussions and injuries, etc, etc..which I believe is smart in many senses, but how can you play the sport without risk?? The design of the game involves a high level of risk.

The days of Steve Atwater crushing the shit out of "The Nigerian Nightmare" are over. I remember when Andre Reed, Michael Irvin, Jerry Rice use to say that yeah they would get nailed but it would hurt the other guy a lot more if they hung on to the ball.

Was that Okoye? and yeah the Ronny Lot days are over and its sad, they built this game up on big hits, the biggest selling videos the NFL offered were the big hits, and now this bullshit!

It sucks bad, and an extra 15 yards for an offense is the difference between winning and losing, so its also dictating wins and lossses now, its all bs

yeah, Christian Okoye. One of the greatest hits in my opinion.

I mean, I understand that yeah their safety is a concern but in the end it's business. The owners don't want to see their star player and most expensive player have a season ending or career ending injury and cost them millions. I'm all for Quarterbacks being protected, they are really left helpless standing right there and face it, they are mostly all pussies except for Steve Young. I think he was just to dumb to move out of the way though lol

well if you ask a player where they prefer to get hit, its up high, so now if the NFL goes overboard , guys are going to start hitting low and more players will be out then ever with blown knees, sad but true, their is no way to enforce a "strike zone" so to speak for NFL tackling and hitting, its just not possible with the speed of the game

Thank God the Fridge doesn't play anymore. He'd never be able to play. This is just crazy anymore, like I said in the other thread, every time there's a hard hit, the player that gets hit looks for a flag. It comes back to the way this world is, no body wants to get hit or can take a hit, they expect to be bailed out by the refs or the cops on the streets. The whole world is becoming soft (like Presser's dick) lol
