my doctor perscribed me this its for diabetics..is is a sodium-glucose co transporter literally makes u piss sugars right from ur kidneys....now i know sugars are in carbs and carbs are needed for muscle gain..so if i took it i would not put on muscle? seems like an easy way to shed a few pounds!
 
I do not believe this is true... I was reading about this the other day though it's too new to really have legit opinions about it or good feedback... Invokana just reduce the reuptake of glucose. So basically glucose will floe through your body be used up on a cellular level and what is not used is sent to the kidneys then sent back through the body in attempts to conserve energy. Ivokana eliminates this step. So your body still gets to use all the glucose it can efficiently utilize and releases what it doesnt use first time through as waste. That's how I understand it anyway.
 
Sorry brotha that's not for me to decide... if you need it and all else has failed in getting things under control it may be worth a shot... if things are under control and you're using it just to try something else then that's your call. My recommendation is generally not to take my recommendations over your doctors though I have several clients that do... Ill be the first to admit I could be wrong so I don't advise or dis-advise medication usage. I'm just here to help educate.
 
cuz hes just gave it to me said it would help me get ripped im not fat just got a lil belly i been on a diet for 5 months n having a hard time losing anymore fat

That's the question I should have asked... I assumed he prescribed for its intended purpose (type II diabetes) and not for weight loss. In that case I say it couldn't hurt to give it a shot if he prescribed it for that purpose. I just meant I would not tell you rather or not to use something for diabetes cause that my good man... is over my head! but it should help shed a few pounds... may not be a "wonder drug" being you'll still utilize sufficient amounts of carbs but if you are watching your counts and dieting it should help. be interested to know how it works out for you.
