20 straight years they've endured losing seasons. I have grown up with this team since they are the "hometown" team and I enjoy following them and cheering for them, but they've made it VERY hard to support them. This year was a win when they hit 82 games, now it's even better that they've made the playoffs, but I'm sure all the die hard fans are going to be crushed if they don't win the pennant and are ousted in the first round single playoff game.

Either way, it is nice to see them playing well and actually having a good year. It is hard to comprehend why the organization hasn't tried to get a better team on the field any sooner since the Pens and Steelers have had some great teams. I just never understood why they never tried or shelled out money for players instead of saving money and trading off good players for draft picks, but I guess it has paid off and they've got a good team now
