Lease is up and it needs millions in repairs/maintenance. The vast majority of the people that go to games are in the northern suburbs. Land is cheaper, fans closer, taxes are lower and they can build it with venues people can visit after the game. It would be stupid for them to stay

I don't think money will be an issue and no they won't be raising taxes.
thing with Turner field in Atlanta is getting to and from the interstate is a nightmare. the new location will be 10x better in terms of access to the 2 interstates and the 5 lane state highway that all meet there.
people going to the games now largely live in that area and other northern suburbs. so instead of clogging up the hwy downtown they'll already be there and getting out of traffic much sooner.
the more I think and talk about it the better this sounds. this is a major win in every possible.
so if you see a story about this on the national media don't believe the propaganda. this is the best move for the Braves and the fans.
