hi bros,
just to notice some research behind Test Decanoate patent:
to be short it mentions that for final sterilization of solution the heat of 180 Celcius for extended time of 3 hours was used.
Very interesting part is that Benzyl Benzoate was used in the rate of 1.7 : 1 next to Castor oil- this is due to thickness of Castor Oil itself. BB makes in much more smooth.
From my personal experience i remember trying to filter pure Castor Oil and it was virtually impossible to do without excessive used.
formulation of testosterone undecanoate
mixture of castor oil and benzyl benzoate in a volume ratio is 1 : 1.7
concentration: 250 mg/mL of the vehicle
formulation containing testosterone undecanoate 1000 mg in a vehicle of 4 ml of a mixture of castor oil and benzyl benzoate in a ratio of 1:1.7 by volume
A first step in the preparation of a composition of the invention comprises dissolving the testosterone ester in the co-solvent.
Then, the testosterone undecanoate/co-solvent solution is combined with castor oil. The final solution may then be filtrated
through a 0,2 µm filter, optionally filled into, for instance, amber-glass bottles, before finally sterilised at 180°C for 3 hours.
