Filtering EO (Ethyl Oleate) For Real

Ok guys, I been searching high and low for this info. I keep finding the same scattered handful of posts on this, and there is conflicting info.

Let not talk about size,me and most people will want the proper .22,a few will insist .45 is fine. There is enough talk of that findable on the net.


I am talking about filter membrane type. The common ones being PVDE, Nylon, PTFE

And we are speaking of filtering oils with a percentage of Etyhl Oleate, not 100% EO.

I have read PVDE will do about 20ml before clogging and or contamination with melted plastic. But one poster said PVDE or PTFE were the only ones that would work, dont use nylon, and he was not corrected.


I have alo read nylon are the best to use.


Right now, I believe PTFE are the only ones that dont degrade into your oil, and I should buy those, but would feel better if I got a thumbs up from someone who has direct exp. AND knows for sure. Even if PVDE works a little, I dont like he idea that some plastic has melted into my oil/body...

I have been thinking really hard about using EO in a brew (Test Prop) but kind of wondered that since people say it eats the filter up then what the hell would it do to my ass? 1. Any HG pharm companies us EO? (I'm just asking, I don't know) 2. If none do, then I wonder why? 3. If some do, then I wonder why all of them don't since so many people sware by it.

1. Yes 3.my guess would be the additional testing the new mix would need to be certified...

some may have only used one type and not all that you referenced so this will be hard to answer.

To answer pork chops question as to why all sources or people do not us EO, its the cost, EO is high compared to the alternatives. Also, I have known guys to have reactions to gear in EO so there is that concern too...

i do have experience with EO filtration and if you use mixture like 50-50% with oil you can use even PES filter without any worries.
Same Nylon filter is just perfect. - have good experience with this while filtering pure EO too.
Please do not forget that normally EO affects not the filtering membrane itself but the membrane holding part. So make sure the surrounding is PTFE or PP material.
