I've been one week on T3 now and I experienced heavy and painfull cramps in the gym today and had to stop early. I've never had this in the past on T3 but it must it, since I'm not really using anything else that can cause cramps. The cramps feel exactly like when I was on clen a few years back.

- What is the exact mechanism between T3 and cramps?
- How do I make them go away?
- Should I continue use and will cramps go away or
- Should I taper down and stop using it?

Tnx!

I drink lots of water. Between 3 and 6 litres a day. Current dosage is 100 µcg. I only take one 30mg ephedrine tab 30minutes before workout 4 times a week. That's it.
I'm also on gear, primo and testoviron. But that doesn't cause cramps does it?

bro...when i am on T-3 i drink about 2 or 3 gallons ED. Depends how much cardio you are doing too. 3 gallons is tuff though.

i have never done primo or testoviron so i cant tell you bro...but i am guessing you need more H2O...if that doesn't help, get some potassium(SP) tablets.

It could be a potassium problem if you are in fact drinking enough water. You can get some potassium pills at wal-mart for a few bucks, supplement with that.

Also make sure you are spreading your water intake through out the day. What I mean is don't drink a liter per sitting. Your body will more than likely just piss it out if it is not used to that intake. That is what happens to me anyway when I bump my water intake up. Our bodies are not like sponges. So drink through out the day.

Thanks Erik, that's some good advice. I do tend to drink lots at once and then nothing for long times.

i add bananas to my protien shakes is that a good way to get the potasium instead of the pills?

Yes that is true. Thing is you get the extra calories and the sugar. If you are using t3 you are more than likely trying to cut. Depending on your diet, it would dictate the addition of the bannanas.

But just how much water do I have to drink? I allready drink between 4 and 6 litres a day. And above a certain point it seems that the more I drink the more water I loose.

sorry I missed this before...

I don't think this is related to water or dehydration. When you have cramps from getting too little water, it's not really about the water, but about the electrolytes that were flushed with the water (sweat, urine, stools) when it left your body. Simply putting the water back is good, but not enough to relieve the symptoms, which include cramping, because that symptom in particular is related to low sodium/potassium levels. Chances are, your diet provides plenty of sodium...so I'd say that is definitely potassium related. Also remember that if you drink TOO MUCH water, you flush out those electrolytes too! So, eat natural sources (potatoes, banannas, spinach, red meat) and supplement with either potassium tabs and.or cook with a potassium chloride salt substitute (NoSalt brand if it is abailable). That should take care of it.

I just posted some reading in the Articles section on potassium---go READ it!

And what about the electrolyte magnesium. Could it be I don't have enough of that?

It's possible. You need more calcium and magnesium when you train heavy thats for sure. I've always taken zinc and magnesium just before bed, plus it's in my multivitamin. If you do that, your mg should be ok.

I just checked my food calculator and I apparently eat more than enough potassium. Sodium intake isn't that high as well.
I'm currently on a CKD. The same I did last year. I also took T3 then for a period of 6 weeks had no probs at all.
Since these cramps started past, it is true that I am peeing a lot. Every time I drink something I have to go straight to the bathroom and its a real waterfall.
I can also see by my look I'm excreting water, but I can't tell why really. Off course dieting, and definitely a CKD, combined with the T3 and some ECA with cause to excrete water, but I'm also drinking large amounts and I did this last year as well and had no probs.
I do take Ca and Mg supp's (off course seperately from each other).

one other question: is diet Pepsi ok? I really hate water and if I don't drink the Pepsi I will most definitely won't get enough fluids in my body.

seriously? Pepsi has caffeine in it which is a diuretic. A CKD diet also triggers water shedding. Bro, you ARE NOT GETTING ENOUGH POTASSIUM. You might be taking enough in for normal water processing, but it's obvious to me that you are pissing it out faster than you put it in. Trust me on this, go read the post on potassium I put up, and start taking in more.

I upped my Kalium (potassium) intake and was just wondering how soon the cramps should go away. On my carb weekend I ate lots of bananas and potatoes as you said and on day one of the low carb week I immediatly ate some steak with some spinach.
I also bought some potassium pills but was wondering just how muc I should take a day? How long should it take before the cramps go away? Tnx!

And btw, I tapered down and T3 is now discontinued.
