Women & muscularity-opinions on

Medusa

Hi everyone,

New to this board and am wondering how many of you ladies are training for strength & muscularity and how many are training to be lean & toned.
Those of you who are after size, have you had problems with others peoples reaction to you or opposition from partners etc?

Guys I'd be interested in your opinions on women & muscularity etc (unless of course this topic has already been done to death and your all bored of it!)

Thanks

I thought I would never say this but a little cushion is good for pushin. Don't get me wrong, nothing looks better than a toned lean muscular babe. But dam, try making love to a rock hard competitor. This is where the term comes from, I felt like I just screwed a 2X4. If she was my partner I would prefer a toned fit over a muscular ripped.

I am training for lean, muscularity......I could really care less how strong I am.....(well...kind of...lol) But I want to look muscular, to a point ( there is a line for me where too much is too much, I want to be between a BBer and a fitness competitor) And yes, I have had a few negative comments about it....."why not start doing more reps at less weight"....But that was only one person, and he is an idiot. But of course, we don't hear what they are saying behind our backs. But I do this for me...because I like how it looks, which is, I'm sure why we all do it. I gain fairly easy....the major strugle for me is losing BF and keeping it low.....I am still not as low I as I want to be.

I am looking for something about down the middle as BB & Fitness Competitor as well. I just want to look like I work out as hard as I do. -- but don't we all? Ha!

Hello I just thought I'd throw in a my view I love a muscular woman( thick with a nice butt)!! I'll put it in my prospective, as you ladies put it between a BBer and a fitness Competitor maybe leaning toward the BB/Powerlifter. As I not that small of a guy at 5'6" 208 around 10% I like to play with my woman and not be afraid to break her.

My goal is the fitness competitor look, muscular but feminine. I dig BBer chicks though, I think they look great:). Strength isn't really a factor for me, I'm a weakling...LOL!!!

We are in the same boat. I am in it for the strenght and you are like me in that we both gain muscle very easily, BUT we struggle in trying to keep the bodyfat down. I get the same crap, why don't you do more reps with less weight. yada yada. I personally am not afraid to put on muscle, as long as my face still has the feminine look without the hardened jawline, I don't care how much muscle I pack on. I do it for me and there are some guys who are think it is cool that I have big arms!!! the other guys, well they are probably just hardgainers who wish they had my problem....*snicker*

The fit and firm body is deffinetly the most becomming on the female form!

Not to disrespect all the BB chick's out there, i just hate feeling like Mrs Arnold! ;)

Re: In the same boat

I'm a powerlifter, but I'm starting to look more like an off season bb'er (shoulder injury about a year and a half ago has forced me to change the way I lift... no more triples and doubles...). I've gained some size now and it's funny, cuz' I'm bigger, but not as strong. Strength is more fun for me because I love that I press more than alot of the guys...

Jill Mills is the most awesome female athlete in the world... I would love to be able to acheive what she has someday... go check it out:

I love muscular, lean, average - basically, I love all women. I am like the plaque on Ellis Island "Bring me your weak, your persecuted, your hot and not so hot, just bring me your wimmen."

Ok, I dont know if there is really a plaque there, but mine would say that if I had one!

I love the fitness competitor look. A hard firm body looks great. It's shows a little muscle, but is still feminine. The female bbs look like men and that is gross to me. IMO-men should look masculine and women should look feminine. Of course, that view is not politically correct, but all that PC stuff is BS.

Muscles on women

IMO, muscles look good on a woman, especially ME! :D
Im not a competitive BB, and am not very fond of the 'ripped' look, but I do like big muscles, and fairly lean body. ( I also have the bf problem of most women!!! )
All I have to say to the fellas, if it dont please you to look, DONT LOOK.:p
