Bodybuilder Michael Kefalianos believes that success in bodybuilding is 70% nutrition and 30% training.
'For anyone new to weight training or would like to compete, the best advice that I could pass on would be to find a knowledgeable coach and to listen and follow their instructions,' he says.
'I would also recommend training one body part each day and be sure to eat a well-balanced diet. I know that people have different opinions and its importance in achieving gains versus training, but for me, I believe that success in bodybuilding is 70 per cent nutrition and 30 per cent training. Take it step by step, don’t be impatient and rush it. Take your time, learn as much as you can, enjoy the journey and remain focused.'
And Michael thinks supplementation is essential for those looking to maximise their gains.
'Regardless of which brand someone prefers, I believe that the most important ones are creatine, aminos and glutamine. These give me more energy to lift and grow, which as every bodybuilder knows, is very important,' he explains.
'I think that for every bodybuilder looking at maximising the gains from their hard work in the gym supplementation is very important. My recommendation for a basic supplementation program would be a good protein powder, then creatine and glutamine.'
