I am new to the site and really serious about weightlifting. I am sure it gets tiring having to answer the same old quetions, but I can really use some advice. I would love to someday compete and get certified as a trainer. I have given a lot of thought as to how to approach my goals, and instead of trying to gain mass, I want to lean out first.

Stats:
40 yrs young
5'5" frame
119 lbs
approx 20% BF
diastasis recti (ab separation) from 2 kids/2 c-sections.
Most of my fat is in my abs, ectomorph body type, clean and green diet

So, I pose two questions:

1) I plan on keeping a calorie range of 1500-1700. Does this seem appropriate?
2) I want to use peptides to speed things along. My research indicates that sermorelin, ghrp2 and 179-191 frag are good for fat loss. What can you tell me?

Thanks. If I get brave enough, I will post pics, but the diastasis makes me look preggers and is embarrassing and stealing my confidence.

ugh. well, having a very "off" day for me and wondering if triple distilled vodka counts as clean eating. I say YES. Let me have another or two, and I am sure to post!

Diastasis-Recti-V3.jpg this is what a diastais is. Basically, I walk around looking like I am pregnant. To make matters worse, I carry all of my fat in my abs. Nice, huh? I cannot perform crunches or anything similar that makes the abs protrude more. I need to work on my TvA to help correct this and a lot of "experts" endorse wearing a corset type binder. Totally uncomfortable and unrealistic.

Can u not get some sticthes in there to help bring it back together. .my wife had a hernia from a nasty c section..and very bad loose skin..she had a tummy tuck and while she was open they sorted the hernia and also stitched her abbs back..some times minor surgery is the only option for these sort of things..

Are u sure you are 20% you have some nice shoulder separation and good bicep..maybe the stomach gives u the illusion of being bigger than u are..u look lean in the pic

It was almost 2 years after my C-section before I even knew I had the separation. I was working my butt off in boot camp doing major ab work, all of which I later found out makes the abs protrude more. After getting into a deep depression, I finally went to one general surgeon for some advice---it was a waste of my time. He told me I looked fine as was performing those ab exercises. Idiot. Seriously, after busting my ass in boot camp, running and lifting, I did not want to "look good for having kids" That phrase gets me so riled up.

If I had a hernia, I could possibly get most of the medical costs covered. But I don't. I cannot afford surgery, and even if I did, there is always a chance of them separating, even after stitches. I am sure your wife was told this as well. I really want to come as far as I can without going that route...but I understand, it may be the only option

I agree, my BF may be lower..I got tested last year and it was closer to 15, so..yeah, probably <20.

I was hoping to get a jump start with a cycle of Frag 179-191 , and see how far I can get if I lost some body fat in conjunction with trying to tighten my core. ..maybe I could lose some inches from the waist!

Frag I've heard a lot of mixed stuff on, I have use GHRP-2, Ipamerlin & CJC 1295 w/o dac. Women can benefit from CJC 1295 DAC bc it mimics the female GH release better than males & it has a very long half life so 1-2 shots a week as opposed 2 GHRP-2 which is shot up to 5x ED. & GHRP-2 made me crave food & carbs. Presser will agree ECA will benefit u for fat loss & IGF1 perhaps but thats silkquads department as IDK how it effects the female body.
