IGF-1 experience so far

I wanted to put some of this out there to maybe help some people who, like me, had no idea about any of this before coming to this site.

I have been using MC IGF-1 for about 3 weeks now at 40-50 mcg per day. I decided to try it primarily to help heal chronic 'golfer's elbow', having read all the studies and articles I could find on the subject. So far no real results in that department, however, I asked the sports medicine doc I saw today about it and his response was, "It's good, but not legal in the US. You get a 'shotgun approach' here in the US. Why, can you get it?" I told him yes but didn't answer when he asked me where. His 'shotgun approach' comment was a description of another injection treatment that uses platelets. Anyhow, I'm hopeful that I'll get the results I'm after.

Meanwhile, I've been slowly working on losing the fat around the middle while trying to preserve muscle through diet and cardio. That is working: I am down from 204 with a soft "4-pack" to roughly 190 a week and a half or so ago, with "5 and 6" starting to show up to join the 4-pack.

Now to the IGF -1 result: I've noticed this week that I picked up a few lbs. I'm back up to 193, 195 or so. So I've been looking gard in the mirror and paying attention to how my pants fit, and I'm definitely not getting fatter. I realized today that I must be seeing results from the IGF-1. Pretty happy with that. It encourages me that I might get good results with this tendonitis as well.

I have found that when I inject my biceps or triceps, I get a bruise that takes weeks to go away, but larger muscles like glutes or quads never bruise. Shoulders sometimes bruise, but not usually. So I've stopped with the bis and tris and just go for the bigger muscles that don't bruise. I tries sub q in the abdomen, too, and got a lump and a bruise from that, too.

Also, started out with 25 gauge by 1" insulin pins, but it seems like so much stays in the needle. The stuff ain't exactly cheap, and the doses are so small, I got 29 x 1/2" and find that it's a lot easier to measure the small amount in the smaller barrel, and much less is lost to the needle. I also hoped the smaller needle wouldn't bruise, but it does.

I apply it every day in the morning when I get up; I could probably get better results if I did it 30 or 40 minutes pre workout, like I see lots of guys (and gals) here say, but if I don't do it as part of my routine, I forget.

I have experienced the incredible, almost painful pumps when applied to bis, tris or shoulder. Since I usually work out in the morning, I figure the wakeup routine application is close enough.

That's my experience so far. Going to have to pick some more up soon, to make sure I don't run out. Want to make sure I run it for 8 weeks minimum. Then, I may bump the dose up 10 or so mcg, or take a 3 week break before starting again. I'm thinking keep running it until the elbow gets better.

As far as your brusing I've known many get it from either under sterilization or taking alot of asprin or advil Not sure if that's the case for you but just a thought! I noticed the jump and using 6060mcg up to 100mcg really brought down my injuries and aches after about 4 weeks of consistent use

Yea it's usually the common culprit for bruising like that just stay low on caffine and high on water to stop your headaches to taper off of em and see if the bruising doesn't subside

That's useful feedback regarding dosing and injuries and aches. I've been eating advil not for headaches, but for chronic, severe tendonitis in my elbow. "Golfer's elbow", from playing hockey, mainly.

Orthopedic sportsmedicine doc thinks the medial epichondile is partially torn and is talking about a platelet injection protocol that has pretty good success, but it's $1500. I asked him what he knew about IGF-1. "It's good. Why, can you get it?" I told him yeah, but stopped talking when he asked where. I'm hoping to heal that problem with the igf, but after 4 weeks of 40 to 50 mcg's so far nothing. I've gained a little lean mass, but no improvement in the elbow at all. So not sure where to take it. I'm afraid to inject it directly into the tendon, like the ortho has done with cortisone in the past, though maybe that's just what I should do... this was the first time I've seen this doc, so not sure if he'd discuss specific protocol with me on this or not.

A buddy of mine had been told he needed shoulder surgery a few years ago and instead used HGH for 6 months and hasn't had a problem or pain with it since... I'm hoping for the same in this case but so far it ain't looking too good.

Have you tried fish oil? I have what medically is basically double shin splints and I take about 3 or 4 grams of fish oil a day and it's been a night a day difference if I don't take it I can't walk

Just make sure your getting like 4 grams a day. Most people just snag that walmart crap not realizing it's only 300mcg so 12 a day. Get yourself a good quality fish oil bud 25$ a month is better than 1500, especially when both aren't 100% guarenteed

So if you look on the back it doesn't say EPA/DHA 300 MG.
Cuz if it does that's the shitty fish oil or if it's very clear and see-through that's the shitty fish oil.
Mine one the back always say something like
EPA 560
DHA 430

EPA and DHA are that omega 3 Fats found in fish oil. Each one is does different things one is for more health like eye, heart, brain, circulation, blood pressure, etc the other is more for physical things like lubricating joint and triggering natural inflammation responses in the body which is why I really think it's help you

Oh And on a side note I'd highly suggest looking into adding tb500 into your protocol read up on it and you see it does some incredible things for injuries I've read some people even healing rotator cuff injuries with it
