So first time using single use bottle top filter. I had a couple issues.

First, and mainly, once its sterile how to get the oil out in the most sterile way? Open the bottle to air then pour/ backfill into a 50ml syringe?

How would I do larger amounts? Pushing a 50ml syring is slow n fucking hard regardless?

Opening to air sucks and I dont like it. When I bottled it it didnt look clear, kind of like it was unfiltered. ..so I refiltered using an inline filter and it looked good.

In the process my first bottle filter had a crack so I had to pour into another and ended losing 10mls in the process.

Would be good if u could get sterile lids for the bottom bottle that had a built in rubber stopper.

In all honesty these are not meant for the purpose you are using it for. it does filter liquid but has to be opened to air to be removed. There are others that filter and then feed through a tube in the top through a hose through a sterile filter into the sealed sterile vial.

I will find the picture of the one we use in the lab and show you, it looks like a mini-still. The filtration cup on top has a rubber stopper that a hose is placed in and the hose goes to an inline filter that feeds into a sterile sealed vial. It does this by the vacuum that it creates when the filtration process begins. You should never overfill the reservoir line. One thing to remember is make sure your vial is vented and can hold the volume you are filtering as the vacuum does not stop until its complete.

I will get that to you as soon as I can. The one I have is industrial and not priced for individual use. I have seen one made and I will find that pic and post it. I have made one from the vacumn filter and hose from the hardware store (the clear kind) I sterilized it in boiling water and flushed it with BA.
Its kinda like my own breaking bad lab kit lol
