MC,

I'm starting a research phase that involves how, or if, I can repair a torn posterior labrum that has early signs of thinning cartilage. I had an MRI with contrast dye last month and went over the results today with the Dr. Of course he mentioned having surgery, but I would rather take the IGF route first I'm 35 yrs old, 195 lbs, 8-10% BF (maybe less).

I have heard that IGF-1 can help repair a torn labrum. I've also read that TEST, DECA, and Boldernone can accelerate healing as well.

What are your thoughts on it? I am able to lift and do just about anything and it's not to the point where I have constant pain, etc. In fact, I've done quite a bit of repair on it already. The results showed that I have thinning cartilage in the posterior region, which is where the tear is the worst. Primarily, I have a Posterior labrum tear. The biceps tendon is intact and has no damage.

What do you suggest? Where did you inject? How do I shorten the learning curve so I can make the best decision?

Thank you for any help or advice you can give

yep, and we have 2 separate studies from med journals in article forum here if u can find them, one on the healing of tendons, and the other on cartilage, , i have personally used it to heal bad quad injury with great success. I applied it directly to the muscle that was injured, and i wold suggest to anyone to apply it closest to the injury though studies suggest site it will work regardless where applied. I think the one article is about growing cartilage, i know it sounds insane but I'm almost 100% sure, i will see if i can go find and bump the article for you and post link in here

but yes long story short, IGF-1 lr3 is exactly what you will want to use for this brutha

and if u don't know cartilage is comprised of fibers of collagen!!!

It is an amazing thing. It has helped heal my neck after a C-5 and C-6 surgery tremendously

I'm here bro. I believe Commander, I can't remember his MC name, but it's something along those lines asked many of the questions I had regarding IGF-1. My question is should I supplement IGF-1, which I've ordered from MC already, with Test E, pro-hormone or something else? Or, should I try IGF by itself for 3 to 4 months, use Clomid, and have a good, long bridge time?

add them together bro, there is certainly something to be said for the synergy between test and igf, or igf during any cycle, it just amplifies things, thats my opinion

Sounds good. Placing an order for it then. I may PM or ask people via this thread and through MC to PM me with a source for gear for me rats. They are looking pretty bad and need to get em fixed up again. Past source was good, but would like another supplier.

that will get you banned here bro! NO ASKING FOR SOURCES IN PUBLIC, OR THROUGH PMS HERE!

Ok, I have a somewhat similar injury. Started out as medial epichondilitis, or 'golfer's elbow' and ended up as a partially torn epichondile, which is a tendon. So I did the same kind of digging you're doing.

Regarding Deca: I read several studies that showed that it did increase the healing rate of tendons, those tendons ended up WEAKER than those not treated with Deca (nandrolone). The reason is (and this is in simplified lay terms, as I'm no kind of doctor or b medical professional) that the d3ca does not promote "cross linking" of the fibers. So you might get it to knit otself back up, but it won't be very strong and will be subject to injury again.

I went to a sports medicine doc. He was talking about an injection treatment called PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) which is expensive and generally not covered by insurance but generally about 80% effective.

I asked him about igf-1 and he said, 'It's good; can you get it? Because I can't." I told him I could and we dropped the subject.

He gave me some PT exercises to do and told me to give it a try. I was not hopeful, as I've done the very same exercises for this same issue in the past without success.

I DID get some MC igf-1 (2 bottles) and gave it a try. At first I was doing 40 mcg a day snd putting it in a different place every time. Didn't experience much of an improvement. Used up most of 1 bottle that way. Set it aside and a few weeks later started on the 2nd bottle. This time, I used double that dose and put 80 ti 100 mcg DIRECTLY INTO THE INJURED TENDON. This was NOT a pleasant experience but no worse than the cortisone injections I've had for this recurring problem over the years. After the pain and swelling went down, which took several days, I did another 100 mcg in the same area but not in the tendon itself. I finished the bottle injecting it into my tricep near the elbow, as Presser has suggested to you.

*****I began to get improvement after I put it directly into the tendon and with the higher doses.*****

I have also been RELIGIOSLY doing the PT exercises. This is key. All the studies I read, including the ones on deca, showed the best result with stimulating the injured tissue - but not so much that you re injure it.

So bottom line is, I say go for it. I believe it can't hurt you, though the doc in a later conversation warned me that "prolonged use" can have the same negative side effects as prolonged growth hormone use. I think if you read enough on this site you'll find plenty of guys who've used igf for pretty long stretches with no ill effects.

On testosterone for the purpose of assisting the healing of tendons: what I read is that under 200 mg/week increases collagen synthesis and will aid the healing of tendons; above this amount actually has a negative impact on tendons. And here again, I'm on TRT, 100 mg a week. And it seems to be working for me.

I'm not 100% pain free yet, but it is FAR better than it was when I started, and I believe igf-1 is what jump started my recovery.

Sorry for the long winded post, but you asked.... ;)
