Just another reason to keep them ratios in tact!
Especially E2!

Causes / Risk Factors ~ Stimulant Dependence

Low Histamine; it seems that low histamine and high copper levels may produce an inhibition similar to that seen in schizophrenia and ADHD - to where there are disperceptions, possibly some apathy and a general lack of focus and awareness. Not only are low histamine levels a risk factor for stimulant addiction (and these are the same ADD/ADHD type who get treated with stimulants) but also - due to low histamine causing excessive norepinephrine and adrenaline secretion low histamine ends up being a risk factor for adrenal fatigue itself.

Adrenal Fatigue; low adrenaline, low DHEA, low pregnenolone etc

Low Androgen Levels; particularly low DHT in men - can cause a lack of natural central nervous system stimulation. Thus low androgen levels can certainly facilitate stimulant addiction - particularly of the adrenergic type - such as dimethylamylamine, Ephedrine, yohimbine, caffeine, clen etc

Low Estrogen, in both men and women, though these type would be more drawn to dopaminergic stimulants, rather than adrenergic; such as ritalin, cocaine, methamphetamine etc - low estrogen males and females may also be drawn to glutamatergics, because low estrogen tends to result in either a lack of glutamate or histamine levels, generally glutamate.

HYPOTHYROIDISM ; An underactive thyroid is one of the most common causes/predispositions to stimulant dependence and addiction, but certainly not the only one - and if often co-occurring with iodine deficiency, copper and / or zinc deficiency, b-vitamin deficiency, and many other mineral and macronutrient deficiencies.

Chronic STRESS - Resulting in adrenal fatigue and other issues, I list this separately because adrenal fatigue is not the only vehicle that gets a'movin FROM stress - and there are other biochemical disruptions that occur during and after crhonic stress. One of these concerns is a growing NITRIC OXIDE DEFICIENCY - which can lead to stimulant addiction and dopamine deficiency as well!

LACK OF PROTEIN IN DIET ~ This one is unfortunately not talked about enough, without enough protein in your diet, you aren't making the necessary neurotransmitters to keep you AWAY from stimulant dependence and addiction.

INSULIN RESISTANCE - HIGH BLOOD SUGAR - AND ASSOCIATED PROBLEMS ; Because a primary action of stimulants is to MOBILIZE BLOOD GLUCOSE AND LIBERATE Both FATS and CARBS ; effectively turning them into energy - this can predispose one to stimulant addiction - because many will feel like they will crash WITHOUT STIMULANTS.

Interesting PARALLEL - BUT IRONICALLY, A LACK OF CARBS IN THE DIET CAN ALSO TRIGGER OR PREDISPOSE ONE TO CLINGINESS TO STIMULANTS....Because WITHOUT CARBS - THERE IS NO ENERGY FOR MIND AND BODY.

ESTROGEN DOMINANCE - Though one is more likely to succumb to alcohol addiction while being estrogen dominant - stimulant addiction is also very possible, and although estrogen ITSELF is stimulating - this is exactly the issue - eventually , high estrogen levels become one in the same as high adrenaline - eventually causing adrenal burnout and / or adrenal fatigue!!
