Pretty much robs your body of all essential nutrients and b vitamins, kills protein synthesis, dehydrates...etc... It's not that good for you lol...
How many of you drink?
I know some ppl who only lift during the week so they can have a few drinks over the weekend and it won't affect their gains or workout...
 
And let the ugliness being! ... seriously.. i'm the type of guy.. when i was on and going hard... .. i found EVERY reason to find a way.. to be "me" .. and yet be the "bigger me" .. that I needed to be...

I unfortunately ... drink ALL The Time... am I impressed or happy with myself? .. ABSOLUTELY NOT... but.. that's how I was then.. I've dropped off the fitness spectrum since then due to life's circumstances.. and now I'm back on TRACK! . what does that mean? It means.. that I'm about to go from "Fat to Fit" .. regardless of the challenges that are about to come my way...

So... to answer your questions..... YES ... I drink... i USED to drink 7 days a week while training... so I could reap the benefits of my work... however.. I'm NO LONGER THAT WAY... unfortunately.. I still drink and have yet to get back to the gym... (proud.. no.. but working on it.. yes).

POINT IS ... now that i'm focused.. (a little).. is this.. I used to do 50mg Prop Preload ED for 20 days/750mg Test E per week/600mg EQ per week/150mg Tren Ace EOD/50mg Winstrol ED/50mg Clomid EOD/10mg Nolva ED/T3 Taper... AND DRINK BOOZE EVERY DAY.... did it hinder my gains.. YES... will i do that lifestyle again? .. NO ... Long story story short... been there done that... had to live it all.. do it all... and hide it all.. all at the same time...

Does it make it right? NO... but does it make it fun? ... unfortunately so... any other questions? .. (i wasn't worried about vitamin deficiency ... I was worried about... well. having a good time... ) ... truth hurts right?

I'm not sure what your question is.. but I used to make Vodka/Protein drinks... need I say more... AND was a MOD AND.. Married a FEMALE Mod from here...

Thx for your response bra. I'm sorry to hear about your struggles but it's obvious your pin the right track brother. I know a professional bodybuilder that broke the bench press record about ten years ago. Uses as and gh like there vitamins. It's just a part of his life. When we used to hang he we always drinking (vodka...lol). I guess despite alcohol killing protein synthesis and so on when your at that level and taking so much it doesn't affect you as much....
Anyway, what I'm really asking is- can you drink moderately/socially (1-2 a Week max) without it really hindering your gains. I only lift three times a week (currently)...all during the work week...so over the weekend i like to go out and grab drinks. I'm cognizant of the fact that regardless of when i drink it will still have some negative effect but if i space it as far as i can from my workout then maybe i minimize the damage??
 
Either way ... WHAT you drink is going to change the way your body processes anything.. When I was going hard and to this day, the best alcohol you can drink and why your boy drank vodka is because white alcohol ... vodka mixed w/ say diet coke and lime has minimal to no sugars.. which is good for not fucking w/ your insulin levels and weight gain.. HOWEVER .. ALL alcohol is going to slow down your metabolism.. it's a depressant, it's what that shit does... and unless you prepping for a show. I'd say, that a few drinks over the weekend isn't going to overly hurt you.. moderation with anything is key! ... the only downside I see to your trend.. is that you're drinking on days that you're not promoting growth.. on the weekend.. you slowing down your body AND not working it out.. so you have to kick it back up on Monday.. just keep that in mind.. when i was working 6 days a week, with a good diet, and a shitload of supps and a good cycle.. i'd drink all the time, but i was hitting the gym.. almost every day so i was efficiently keeping my body burning calories and building muscle at "almost optimal speed and efficiency" ... but when I say that, i'm not saying from a bodybuilders point of view because I can look good, but don't have the full discipline to be in a show..
 
I get ya man...the more you put in especially when using supps as gh peps whatever the more you can show boat...you can play a little more because your gains are going to be there (despite diminished) at some level...which is higher than normal...for me, i only drink on off days to ensure my muscles recover and the alcohol doesn't affect the protein synthesis required for them to recover...I'll also only drink once a week...on the weekend...then get stuck back into it on Monday...one of my main problems is drinking beer....i prefer it over hard liquor but it's certainly not as good for you...
 
I've always been a drinker. I've also been into bodybuilding for 15 years. Average once or twice a week. Usually vodka with zero calorie mixer or on rocks. I don't have just a couple. I drink to get drunk.
With that said bodybuilding is one of the most important things to me. I train very steady at 4-6 times a week. Eat six meals a day and live the lifestyle except that I drink. When I go out most people are surprised I drink because I don't look like I do. I got a great body that I have put a lot of muscle on over the years. I get hundreds of veins crawling all over my skin that really come out when I get a pump. I look like one of those guys in a muscle mag no joke. With that said I'm sure drinking has hindered me. How much I'll never know. But I'm happy with my progress and the way I look. Ive been at the size for a while where I never feel small. I like to enjoy life and I know I'm not going to be the next Mr. Olympia so I'm not training like that. I have a show I'm training for now so trying not to drink. It's really hard but I'm trying to make it through. I got some killer cuts including a six pack right now. It's only been a week since I drank. Im probably 9% bf and on target for my show in July.
Anyways that's my story. I know a guy who is also jacked and uses AAS drinks like a fish and party's with cocaine. Not healthy but we do what we want to do. If one day I think I could go pro I would give up drinking on a regular basis. Until then I will enjoy life.

Yeah...agreed brother. It really depends on your lifting goals. I'm no bodybuilder...but if your training for a show or that's a huge part of your life than its obvious far more important of an issue...

But you're thick for ESPECIALLY for only working out 3 times per week! ... ... and regarding moderation.. if i only practiced what i preached sometimes.. (like i used too.. ) ... damn.. time to get to it! ..
 
Thanks bros. ya moderation is key. Training hard and dieting are they keys too! So that and a little drinking on the weekend isn't gonna be a big deal. I like to workout with a hangover. Makes me feel better. :)

I get a great pump after a workout...look jacked...if only i looked like that all the time!

Diet is pretty on point too to keep the gut down..

Oh, and the ghrp2/cjc and recently (one week) igf lr3 have helped a little...
 
Drinking right now...probably gonna have about eight Beers..lots of calories...sucks...my arms at still sore from yesterday despite working out really early...over 200 granms protein...most without days this week..
 
I'm drinking right now too. Couldn't resist. Haha. Vodka and sparkling ice. I'll kick my own ass in the gym tomorrow on some chest n abs.

When you are working out hard and consistently I think weed in edible form or vaporized form is better for u. You can eat a ton and sleep a ton, without worrying about the alcohol fucking up your body's ability to synthesize protein.
