OK......... meant to start this log last week but have not felt like doing much! Plus it's hard enough to type, let alone one handed. So I had a massive tear in my rotator cuff and this would make my second time for surgery on the same shoulder. The Doctor, which was Dr. James Andrews protege and if anyone knows about sports related injuries and where most of the Professional Athletes go to have this type of surgery done, Dr. Andrews is well renown for his skills and is the Doctor of choice so I was extremely comfortable having my Doctor perform the surgery. I will try to post weekly pics along with a progression log. This is a 3 month process of rigorous physical therapy which is a slow and long process. Like the Doc stated "this is a Marathon no a sprint". Therapy is a slow process with lots of stretching. For the first month I will not be able to lift my arm by my self, any exercise will consist of me or my therapist assisting with the movement of my right arm.
During my recovery I will be taking IGF-1 LR-3 (mc), week 1 and 2 at 80 mcg a day (7 days a week) after therapy. Then will bump up to 100 mcg for the remainder of the 3 months. Along with the IGF, I will be taking a Test Pheny/Iso mixture (which I will post the recipe in another post and I fucking love it, no pip at 150 mg/cc) at 100 mg EOD. Hopefully the cruiser dose will help me retain some of my previous gains. I will be staring cardio in the 3rd week and will add lower body work out after the 4th week.
I will post some pics to hopefully show my gains and losses along with movement acquired during my physical therapy process. I don't have many good post surgery pics, but should be suffice to give an idea of my progress. If anyone has any suggestions or comments please post. I want all info possible for myself and others with questions. Plus I want to show others how good MC's IGF really is and how good it works.
Like I said, I am a week late and have already showed signs of great improvement! I am 2 weeks in therapy and already have good movement in my repaired arm. In the pictures I post today, they will show the incisions made by the Doc in order to repair my injuries. The Doc had to relocate my bicep in order to take the pressure off my rotator cuff. Also being such a huge tear and my second time, the Doc was not sure he could repair the damage, so the bicep relocation was necessary. Being he was a younger Doc, in his mid to late 30's, he was up for the challenge and eager to operate. The thing I like the most is he did not try to push cordizone shots and therapy first. Like he stated, that's all bullshit and is worthless for this type of injury. All that it does is satisfy the insurance company. Although I feel like I could lift my arm by my self, I have to be very careful not to re-injure the shoulder. The pain is very minimal, surprisingly, and I am able to lay flat. The first time I had this surgery I had to sleep in a recliner for almost 11 weeks. Being that I am in a lot better shape now and the relocation of the bicep has something to do with that. There is no doubt that the IGF has help in the ability of movement. I can lift my arm to put deodorant on the opposite arm, I can twist a door handle to open a door, and raise a spoon/fork to my mouth to eat among other things. This is after only 1 1/2 weeks. The first surgery was almost 4 weeks before this could happen.
I can go on and on about the surgery, but I think this should be good for now. If anyone has any questions, comments or suggestions please let me know. If I have not or do not explain something very well also let me know. Any and all comments and suggestions are welcomed and greatly appreciated. Like I stated before, I want to post my progressions to show others how good MC's IGF is and how much it really helps.
