The 35-year-old faces charges for; possession of an assault weapon, vandalism, trespassing, and a misdemeanor for violation of a protective order. It's expected that Leben will appear in court on August 8th and it's unknown as to whether 'The Crippler' has posted his $100,000 bail. The troubled star has faced DUI charges in the past and has admitted to drug and alcoholism difficulties.

Chris Leben announced his retirement in 2014, shortly after losing to Urijah Hall at UFC 168. The loss to Hall served as his fourth straight and the 12-year MMA veteran cited the four-fight losing streak along with the risk of serious injury as his reasons for retirement. Since departing from MMA, 'The Crippler' has shifted his focus on coaching at Victory MMA & Fitness in San Diego, California.

you think that someone is a star they wouldn't do shit like this-I trained with a guy in Kansas City that was a K1 finalist kicked like a damn mule

Jeff "Big Diesel" Ford seemed like a nice guy but turns out that he was charged with 3 rapes and a possible murder-never know these days

Crazy! I didn't know he even retired. I've been watching this guy since season one of ultimate fighter. He is fun to watch fight.

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight Chris Leben was arrested last month in San Diego, Calif., and charged with violating a court order, two counts of criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor charge for vandalism, and felony possession of an assault weapon.

Leben, 35, was accused of trying to enter his ex-wife's apartment, but insists her account of what transpired prior to his arrest was a "flat-out lie." Nevertheless, "The Crippler" plead guilty at Monday's arraignment to felony possession of an assault weapon, misdemeanor vandalism, and misdemeanor violation of a temporary restraining order.

According to a report from NBC 7 San Diego, Leben is expected to receive probation at his Aug. 31 sentencing.

The former "Ultimate Fighter" retired from mixed martial arts (MMA) in the wake of his UFC 168 loss to Uriah Hall, and has since focused his efforts on coaching. Leben recently took a prominent role at the One Training Center in Spring Valley.
