Step #1 Have all your PCT gear on hand before starting any cycle, do lots of reading, remember, A cycle is only as good as it's PCT

What is the point of shutting yourself down with external test and risking the possibility of your natural test levels never returning to what they were if you don't even get to keep your gains? PCT is the key to keeping your gains and is the single most important thing involving the health of your bodies endocrine system and future sexual function. A good well thought PCT is a top priority and I can't stress this enough.

Step #2 Take your diet and training as far as you can possibility go naturally first, only THEN gear can take you some place new. you should have your Body fat already down before starting any cycle.

Step #3 have blood tests taken before starting a cycle so you will know what your natural levels are and know what to shoot for with a good PCT. Know the risks you are taking! steroids are serious business! If you are young then it is foolish to shut-down a healthy high test producing body, you have plenty of natural test anyway just learn how to eat and train and possibly consider cycling trib.

Step #4 What I call Pre-PCT that is during the cycle and specially near the end keep E levels in check with A-dex and "the boys' plump and ready with HCG so to hit the ground running with your PCT, the body has enough to do to re-start your natural test production again without having to deal with excess E-levels circulating in the bloodstream and shrunken balls, remember the success of a cycle depends on how quickly you can re-start natural test production again. finishing a cycle with short esters is an even better Idea, then rather than waiting 2 weeks you will be able to start PCT in a few days giving yourself much better chances at keeping gains.

Step #5 You should post here what gear and dosage you intend to run and keep it simple test or test/anabolic only and just run the min. dose necessary to do the job. you would be surprised how much you can gain with only 250mg/week test!
Simple Example cycle;
Test E 250mgs/weeks 1-10
Test Prop 100mgs/ EOD weeks 10-12
Arimidex 1/4 tab EOD ---- take 10mgs of nolva anytime your nipples even start feel sore.
HCG 500-1000 mcgs 2x/week as needed while on cycle, this can be increased in the last 2 weeks if needed
PCT Nolva 60/40/20/20 3 days after last shot, you can lower the nolva and add Clomid if you can handle the sides.
If you don't want to use prop at the end of the cycle then you will have to wait 2 weeks to start the PCT.
If you want to add 200mgs/Deca you can stack it in the same dart but you will need to stop it at week 9 due to the longer ester.

Step #6 WATER you need to drink plenty, somehow between all the eating you will need to drink water until you think you are going drown! do this before not after meals

Step #7 Aggression- Extra test could make you agro. short tempered and want to fight it is just a fact of life. You must learn to leave all the aggression in the gym. Most of us are big guys and can do more damage than we think in a moment of anger, blood pressure will most likely go up too, manage it! remember we can not choose what happens in our world, we can only choose how we react to it.

Step #8 commitment- most cycles fail due to lack of commitment, that also means clearing the way for a space in your life for nothing but eat sleep and train, you will have to put parties and socializing on hold, also work and other things that pop-up like holidays ect. plan ahead as much as you can. This goes for after the cycle as well, many guys freak out at some extra fat they picked up on cycle and start dieting too soon. I really like this comment from Hound dog- "Commitment, Consistency and discipline. Aside from training and diet, I believe these 3 fundamentals are the basis for achieving goals. Newbies need to get the ego in check, realize that patience is really a virtue and that drugs are not the answer. Hard work is really what will be rewarded".

Step #9 tell no one, remember steroids are illegal in most countries don't give anyone any ammo to use against you.

Step #10 Diet this is the single hardest thing to stay consistent with, the western world is full of fats and sugars! read the back labels on things that are packaged a simple bottle of ketchup can have 35% sugar or more, the government actually pays incentives for companies to find more ways to use sugar, it is just wrong in so many ways involving the body and Insulin levels, I am not going to go into this topic as there is just too much to say, you should read all you can about bodybuilding diets, and plan ahead by cooking and storing meals in the fridge ect.

If you have not been training hard with the right diets for at the very least 2 years consistently, then you will only gain with the cycle what you could have gained anyway, thus wasting the one and only "golden cycle" we only get one first cycle with fresh receptors and it should be our best.

I read here too many time about guys messing up their hormone levels from previous cycles and then proceeding to put themselves on TRT at early ages of 30s this is just not cycling responsibly, staying on too long or using too much gear, not doing proper PCT or whatever the reason we need to think of our health and no one should be on TRT before age 50 IMO unless they have something that can not be corrected by a good Endo. TRT is more than just shooting test, it is taking responsibility for the entire endocrine system and you can not do it as good as the body does! Even a highly trained Endocrinologist has problems with managing the system.
