What do you use to check body fat percentage at home?

As it says, what do you all use? I'm told the handheld devices and scales are not accurate at all (even though the products claim to be pretty accurate). I want to do a daily weight and bf log but I don't feel like getting calipers out every morning just for that. I was using a little handheld omron (the one that looks like a little steering wheel that you squeeze and hold out in front of you) but what's the point if it's not accurate. Any suggestions?

I have a question bro. What happens if you get up one morning, look at yourself in the bathroom mirror and are blown away how great you look vs the last few days/weeks? What happens if that same day the scale reads higher or caliper does the same? It would 100% fuck you up right?

Stay away from both bro!

I guess I just can't tell if I'm gaining fat or lean mass when I look in the mirror or on a scale. I need some data to look at to see what really needs to be changed. I don't know if I need to increase or reduce calories, keep calories the same but make adjustments to the macros, change up training routine etc etc the list goes on. just looking for some answers to questions I don't have. All I do is read and read and read about all this shit and still don't have concrete answers. I analyze everything I read so much that I don't know what's being said. Paralysis by analysis I guess. I do see your point though. I'm also very critical of myself so yeah that could be dangerous. so what's the workaround for this problem?

measurements... taking measurements regularly will help you determine whats going on..

those handheld systems are crap.. dont depend on them

Carefull with the mirror too if you carb cycle your body can play tricks on you when you carb up you can take on water for a few days and weight will go up and youll look soft and likewise when your depleted the scale will go down but youll look soft and swear you lost muscle . when your pretty lean you can actually see changes in your physique daily depending on your diet

This is why everybody should run a few trial run's with carb cycling to get there timing down.

A skinfold caliper test will be fairly accurate, and even though the handheld omron devices may not be the most accurate, it will still give you a baseline to where you are. As long as you use the same device with the same parameters, checking it at the same time each day, you will have an idea where you stand and track your progress.

Calipers are good for tracking progress but tend too underestimte percentage so watch the change but dont go running around saying you measured ten percent bodyfat and you have no abdominal definition

alot of us have body dysmorphia when looking at the mirror.. be aware of that if thats the way you want to go..

i like using cloth.. belts that have to be taken to the next loop.. jeans that dont fit as tight anymore.. shits that you didn't fit into well before..

u get the idea
