I messed up...

So after manyyyyy IGF pins, I made a dumb mistake. Last night, post workout, I went hit my triceps. After hitting the left side, I proceed to pin the right tri. I felt the pin go in, so I proceeded to inject. I did notice a slight burning sensation, but I didn't pay much mind to it. When I proceeded to pull out, I noticed the damn needle was at a 90 DEGREE ANGLE!! WTF. I guess what happened was that I flexed my tricep by mistake when injecting and the muscle bent the pin! So it ended up missing my muscle and injecting the IGF right under the skin. Not good.

So I ended up seeing the area turn yellowish/white. No pain but it looks like the solution in the IGF was probably burning the layer of skin or whatever right under the surface. So it ended up being a small circle and in the middle feels an indentation and that part was yellowish. Then the outside circle was a bright red. I guess blood or whatever came to the surface. Fuck man. Good thing it was only 40 mcgs, but I guess any dose would have done it. So I iced it last night and put some ointment on it. Again no pain, but you feel its a bit raised and swollen.

So this morning, it looks like the main redness is gone and pretty much turned black. I guess like dried blood. So basically I am guessing it burned the area from the inside. I mean correct me if I am wrong. I just dont understand how people do SUBQ inject then and not experience this. But this was like directly under the skin layer since that needle bent. As if it went in sideways like IV. That close to the surface. So I am hoping that it will just need sometime for the skin to repair and it doesnt get infected. Sucks though...

I guess I can take one of its current state....just put on more ointment to help the skin. But its gotta be this acid solution that caused this since its not supposed to be injected right there beneath the skin surface.

You probably just knicked a vein. Acetic acid doesn't "burn" tissue. If It did with all the IGF I've done I'd be a sloppy droopy mess. You've got to aspirate even with tiny applications. I've got tiny veins running all over my shoulders, Tri's, Biceps, and even my lats. You're fine bro

thanks bud. Maybe that is the case. I just thought since the needle bent at a 90 degree angle without me knowing and injecting at basically right under the skin's surface, it would cause this issue. The center of the circle is indented and a different color. The rest of the circle is like black now.

You could've also torn some of the tissue at the surface. Basically you did a little muscle damage and tore some capillaries and such. Then you added a foreign compound to the area. It's been flooded with blood and clotting stuff which has mixed in the acetic acid. I'm sure it looks pretty messed up and probably hurts and is tender, but you'll be fine. I've done it. I've done AAS injections in my delts and gotten them too close to veins and it was bad... the whole shoulder was on fire and barely movable, red streaks, random bruise spots popping up all over the shoulder... people sometimes forget how precarious some of the things we do are. Some benadryl will probably help it. Give it a couple days break and you'll be fine.

Thanks bud for all the feedback. Just an update, the area just looks like a black circle now and I think its because it was first bright red with blood and may have dried or something. One thing I am noticing and why I mentioned that it looks likes a burn is because the look and feel of the skin in that area is different. The area is still a bit swollen, but the circle itself has a smooth, slight shiny look. But the good part is, there is no pain its just the surface. The muscle itself was not affected.

I thought when you first posted that you were gonna say that you broke the needle off in you. 90 degree angle....sounds like you nicked a little capillary as stated above. A little bruising is nothing to worry about. As long as the dark area shows signs of fading over time.
