Was gathering information about best material for filter membranes. As far i found the best was nylon or pvdf, but i didnt found information about using glass microfibre. Is it viable choice ?
Forgot to say that my solution is eo based.

Hello :) yea, seems i posted in wrong place. And seems i founded the answer by myself, but maybe its not correct so fewl free to correct me. Gmf would be better becouse it is more resistant but its all about pour size if i understan. Gmf what i could get was ~20 microns :D not so close to 0.2 :D so it would be like free way to bacteria and other bad things, and dont think that solution would be clear at all.

Bro that entire post was over my head gibberish lol you could be talking about making a bomb or making steroids lol I can't tell lol so wish I could help but I'll bump this up for you

LOl. Sorry, english is not my mother language so its a bit hard me.
I said i already find out why noone uses glass microfibre filters. Its becouse the pores, glass microfiber they are 20 microns but nylon filters 0,45 or 0,22. All bacteria etc goes thru glass microfibre filters. Found chart in web, the smallest bacteria in char was 0,22 micron size.

lol, no no it wasnt your english bro, i just dont know what that shit is ur talking about, im not into home brewing or making gear, im an old head and know how to make fina from pellets, thats all! lol

Oh :) I was talking about filtering brew, which filters to use and why. And ofc ethy oleat based brew makes it more problematic becouse it meltdown filters.
If people are intrested to this i can make full topic about some of popular filters, about they pros/cons etc.

Nylon or pvdf filters work for me just fine, although I prefer the pvdf. No reason for me to try anything else.

EO can be filtered through either PVDF or nylon, I prefer nylon because from time to time I use guaiacol which requires nylon. It's very useful to use a glass microfiber filter as a pre-filter - on top of the nylon or PVDF. Some filters come with this already incorporated others you would need to add it separately. Use of the glass pre-filter allows more of the solution to be filtered before the filter clogs up.

Your practice seems pretty professional. Just need more time.
