Bottle top filters

Does anyone have experience with the Nalgene rapid flow filters? I've been doing a lot of research and it seems like these are the best when it comes to holding pressure and filtering fluids. Also it seems like nylon filters are the best way to go but I am open to any suggestions.
If anyone can give me any input on these or any better ideas? I would greatly appreciate it.

I don't know about nalgene filters ,but I am using some budget Chinese nylon vacuum top filters with
0.22 membrane . They are 500ml and if I am filtering sust 300mg/ml they last maximum 230ml.
From experience I know that you can't use plastic bottles as receiver because they cracked very quick.
If someone have experience with better quality vacuum top filters Any advice will be very appreciated.

So the one you ordered didn't have a plastic bottle it had broyilistic glass? And it works pretty good because I'm looking at 1 but just wasn't sure.

There are two types
Vacuum filters units with plastic bottle as receiver total crap, don't hold even 0.04mpa negative pressure and are clogged very fast.
Second one are vacuum filter upper cups and this are strong to hold 0.07mpa.
So you have to order upper cups and separate glass media bottles with gl45 thread.
This cups available on uk eBay £250 for box of 24.

I will only use whatman zapcap cr. They are a plastic butt a flexible plastic so they do not crack. You can put your pressure up to 25 and it will hold and not break. I also use a pre filter to catch all the large particles it will make you filter last longer and you will get more oil thru it without it clogging.

Whatman states you can use the zapcaps immediately after to filter more as long add the filter membrane remains wet. At this point I will replace the pre filter I added and filter another batch. I can easily get 1500ml thru one filter in an hour with a .22 using the prefilters. I'm not sure on the micron size of them but they simply pick up larger material and if you change it each time before filtering again it greatly extends the length of use you will get. I have tried every hard plastic filter using a glass media bottle and they always crack on me even if I put the pressure as low as 5 or 7. And they tend to start leaking where the separation is for the filter piece so I have used the zapcaps only for many many years. Love them.

Nice one Bro
So are this whatmann zap caps could be connected to gl45 thread glass media bottles?
Where to find them ,maybe you have any link to buy this stuff
Thanks for advice

Gpzmedlab is a nice place of getting syringe filters and bottle-top filters. Millipore, Nalgene, and Autofil bottle-top filters are all good for use.

Sorry I didn't see this until a year late but better late than never right.lol. when you say pre filter which I'm looking to do. do you use a separate bottle top unit with .45um? Or do you just sit a larger pore size filter on top of your .22? I Appreciate you offering your knowledge..

No I just use a small round pre filter they sell most places you get your filters and really its just a little larger pore size so with a zap cap you are able according to them to continue to filter past the limit as long as the filter is wet by adding a pre filter which is like the filter paper inside you catch all the bigger junk and your filter doesn't get clogged up as quick. I put a new one every time I get a batch thru and can usually get about 2000ml thru a 500ml .22 filter.
