This is a pretty cool study from JAP showing the efficacy of 1-DHEA whengiven to resistance trained athletes. 17 recreational bodybuilders(gym rats)were given either 330mg of 1-DHEA or a placebo for 4 weeks. The aim of the study was to look at body comp, muscular strength, circulating lipids, and biomarkers for kidney and liver function. The group that received the compound increased LBM by an average of 6.3%(0.5% placebo), decreased body fat by 24.6%(-9%) and increased 1MR squat by 14.3%(5.7%). Things to consider: the study showed a 38% reduction in HDL(good cholesterol) as well as a 32% elevation in LDL(bad cholesterol). Liver enzymes and creatinine levels were also elevated. This shows the importance of taking products other preventive supps for cardiovascular health. Another thing is the doses in the study: 330mg is a large dose, however this is the raw 1-DHEA vs #chosen1 (https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/chosen1/) which has liposomal delivery which protects it from being destroyed by your digestive tract. So that 330mg at a conversion rate of around 15% is only 49.5mg. This shows how powerful this supplement truly is when it comes to building muscle and losing body fat. This is the only study I've ever come across for any ofthe DHEA derivative compounds.
